奥运后北京经济持续发展问题研究

奥运会与举办城市的经济发展存在一定的相关关系。本研究表明,北京具有非典型性奥运经济形态,同时又存在若干非奥运经济的矛盾,有必要通过引导投资与消费、调整结构、按照市场化模式开发利用场馆、深化科技体制改革、推动跨地区要素流动与重组等形式实现可持续发展。同时,对利益受损者加以补偿。     

河南省农业可持续发展战略研究

农业的可持续发展已经成为当今世界农业发展的一种新战略,无论是发达国家,还是发展中国家都在积极研究符合自己国情的农业可持续发展模式。文章从河南省农业可持续发展的紧迫性与必要性研究出发,探讨了河南省农业可持续发展的战略指导思想及其战略目标,并提出了河南省农业可持续发展的对策与措施,以期为区域农业可持续发展研究提供参考。     

Bureaucratic integration and regional specialization in China

Fiscal decentralization introduced as part of China's economic reform since 1979 has unleashed strong incentives for China's local governments to pursue economic development, but the same incentives have also led to local protectionist policies inhibiting the process of regional specialization. This paper focuses on the constraints or freedom with which local governments can implement their protectionist policies. Using a panel data of 29 China's regions over the time period of 1985–1997, we find that China's political system of bureaucratic integration (specifically, concurrent appointment of local government officials in the central government) imposes constraints on the local governments from practicing protectionism. We also find that the effectiveness of local protectionist policies is limited by market competition, specifically, competition from foreign-invested firms operating in China and foreign imports. Our results on the role of local protectionism remain robust to controls for the regional variations in the size of the economy and the stage of economic development.

An empirical investigation of firm public and private knowledge

Many studies examine firm private knowledge, but purport to be generalizable to the totality of firm knowledge, both public and private. This study demonstrates that public and private firm knowledge are empirically separable constructs that have significant and yet different influences on innovative outcomes. The example of product development effectiveness within this study shows that both public and private knowledge are significantly related to product development quality; however, public knowledge is negatively related to quality lapses while private knowledge is positively related to quality lapses. Market structure and profitability in the international tourist hotel industry

This paper adopts Hsiao (1986) panel data techniques, with metropolitan-level panel data from Taiwan, to examine how the market structures of various related service markets and hotels’ locations affect hotels’ profitability. The empirical results indicate that: (1) market concentration in rooms could significantly improve international tourist hotels’ profitability, while concentration in the food and beverage markets have positive but insignificant effects, and (2) the locations of the international tourist hotels significantly affect their profitability.     

中国矿产资源开发及社会影响

我国矿业已得到了很大发展，但在矿产资源的开发利用及管理中仍存在许多问题。本文深刻分析其成因，认为观念陈旧，矿法宣传不够，矿法的实施没能落到实处，管理体制改革滞后，技术落后，采、选、冶回收率低，运行机制不合理等是主要原因。应该采取积极、配套的措施，切实解决实际存在问题：即进一步加大矿法宣传力度，理顺矿业管理体制；实行持证开采、经营；强化执法手段；加强地质勘查工作；采用先进的开采技术，保护矿产资源，保护我们的环境，促进经济的发展。     

神府—东胜矿区沙漠化趋势预测与防治措施

神府－东胜矿区在特定的自然地质环境和人为因素的影响下，土地沙漠化呈不断扩展的演化趋势。矿区大规模的开发建设，更加速了沙漠化进展。本文利用典型地段的沙漠化发展速率，依据矿区总体设计规模，对矿区自然沙漠化趋势和开矿新增沙漠化土地面积进行了定量预测，并提出了相应的防治措施。

我国金融生态系统发展现状及其优化策略

金融体系是一个具有很多生态学特征的系统。本文运用系统论的观点，首先简述了金融生态系统概念与特征，然后分析了当前我国金融生态系统发展现状及其问题，最后提出了建设我国良性金融生态系统的基本策略思路。
