Existing game-theoretic models of divisionalization and franchising treat each firm's number of competing units as a continuous variable. We account for the integer constraint on divisions, and show that the continuous case reasonably approximates the equilibria of the discrete game.  相似文献

特许权价值是银行具有的从受保护市场获取未来租金的牌照价值,由市场相关因素和银行相关因素决定.本文在5家上市银行1999-2006年的面板数据基础上,利用托宾Q的方法度量特许权价值,并构建多元线性回归模型,得知随着市场优势因素的弱化,特许权价值整体呈现下降的趋势,而银行内在效率是其稳定的关键,对于银行业的稳健经营具有重要意义.  相似文献

This paper combines agency and social exchange theoretic perspectives to examine opportunistic behaviour in hospitality franchise agreements. It identifies and analyses the opportunistic behaviour of both franchisors and franchisees through a qualitative study of Turkish hospitality franchisees. A model of opportunistic behaviour and social exchange is developed from the study for further empirical testing. The model depicts different categories of franchisee behaviour, how franchisee behaviour is influenced by the behaviour of franchisors, the relevant characteristics of social exchanges between franchisors and franchisees, and the outcomes of those exchanges. As such, the study provides a complementary perspective of franchise opportunism and exchange relationships. A number of implications for hospitality franchise stakeholders are identified as a result.  相似文献

特许经营权竞标是政府为了提高自然垄断行业的供给效率而引入的机制。在竞标企业众多,没有不确定性、沉没成本和共谋等条件下,特许经营权竞标能够筛选出效率最高的企业。由于存在竞标合同不完备、资产专用性、市场不确定和政企合谋风险等影响因素,特许经营权竞标常常不能达到预期效果。合约理论、拍卖理论、委托-代理理论等研究成果和各国实践推动了特许经营权竞标理论发展。国内对特许经营权竞标理论的研究主要是整理和介绍现有理论,并结合中国制度特点进行分析,仍需要在现有基础上不断完善。  相似文献

随着高校毕业生就业形势的日趋严峻,加上国家、社会和高校对大学生创业支持力度的加大,越来越多的大学生开始了自主创业,而连锁加盟凭借其在中国的蓬勃发展和自身独特的经营优势,成为大学生创业首选的一种新模式。通过问卷调查实证分析了温州地区连锁加盟店铺的经营特点,该创业模式对缺少资金、技术和管理经验的大学毕业生具有很强的吸引力,由此推断大学生采取连锁加盟方式创业的具有可行性。  相似文献

银行业的风险程度关系到整个经济体的稳定与发展,控制风险是银行经营的重要目标之一。目前对银行风险承担的研究主要从特许权价值和市场竞争的角度分别展开分析。本文以156家中国商业银行为研究对象,同时分析了银行特许权价值、市场竞争程度对银行风险的影响。通过实证分析,我们发现目前影响我国商业银行特许权价值的因素主要来自银行因素而非市场因素;在没有控制内生性的前提下,发现银行特许权价值有效地约束了银行风险,而市场竞争的加剧增加了银行风险行为;在控制银行风险和特许权价值内生性后,发现特许权价值对中国商业银行风险的约束效应基本不存在。因此,要维持银行业的稳定,需要规范银行的竞争行为,提高特许权价值的风险约束效应。  相似文献

Franchising has significantly affected the US economy, contributing to a rapid growth of its retail sales. To identify whether franchising influences a restaurant firm's financial performance, this study investigated (1) the profitability and intangible values of both franchise and non-franchise restaurant firms and (2) the effect of the combination of franchised and company-owned outlets of restaurant firms (i.e., franchise proportion). The results of this study showed that (1) franchise firms had significantly higher profitability than non-franchise firms and (2) the relationships between franchise proportion and firm profitability and intangible value were curvilinear (inverted U-shape), verifying the existence of an optimal franchise proportion. The results propose a possibility that restaurant franchisors could maximize their profitability and intangible value with an optimal franchise proportion when other variables held constant, implying that it is important to pay attention to the franchise proportion together with other management strategies.  相似文献

There have been a number of synergistic benefits identified in domestic plural chains; those that comprise a mixture of company-owned and franchised units. This qualitative research investigates whether, and how, these synergistic benefits are realised within international plural chains. Through conducting a multiple case study of international hotel chains, the study makes a contribution to our understanding of the dynamics at work within plural organisations. The plural-form model is found to be of only partial relevance to international hotel chains and its potential benefits incompletely realised. Contributory factors include industry-specific factors, the use of multiple brands, the size of hotel chains and the possible lack of complementarity between more complex owned and franchised divisions. However, more importantly, the findings point to a relationship between managerial mindsets and the different organisational processes adopted and the impact this relationship has on enhancing or undermining plural-form advantages.  相似文献
