关于会计理论实证研究方法的考察

本文的主要目的是评价会计理论的研究方法中实证接近方法的妥当性,找出研究方法上的错误,并提出解决这种错误的方法。文章首先分析了研究模型中假设的非现实性问题、验证可能性问题以及与规范理论的差别性问题,并以韩国和美国的经营者补偿合同为例找出了具体的错误和提出了解决方案。     

Philosophical Foundations of Workplace Spirituality: A Critical Approach

It is an undeniable reality that workplace spirituality has received growing attention during the last decade. This fact is attributable to many factors, socioeconomic, cultural and others [Hicks, D.A. 2003: Religion and the Workplace. Pluralism, Sprtituality, Leadership (Cambridge University press, Cambridge)]. However the field is full of obscurity and imprecision for the researcher, the practitioner, the organisational analyst and whoever attempts to systematically approach this relatively new inquiry field. This article attempts to provide a critical review of the literature on workplace spirituality by examining the underlying rationale of the main trends regarding spirit at Work and by negotiating their strengths and weaknesses. Current approaches to workplace spirituality are distinguished to the exploratory, contextual and the consequential, acontextual ones. Particular attention is given to ‚Respectful Pluralism’ proposed by Douglas Hicks, as it is suggested that this theoretical framework is the most well-founded, elaborated and systematic up to date. However, it is proposed that even ‚Respectful Pluralism’ fails to fully capture the complexity of such a multidimensional phenomenon as spirituality. Drawing on mainstream ethical and philosophical traditions (deontology, utilitarianism, virtue ethics) supporting alternative value-systems, it is suggested that a more inclusive and philosophically affluent framework needs to be developed. Every ending is a new beginning: Poignancy increases consumer preferences for self-made products

Retailers and brands such as IKEA, Home Depot, and Build-a-Bear encourage consumers to ‘make’ their products rather than be passive recipients. While a growing literature explores ‘why’ consumers purchase self-made products, it is less understood ‘how’ marketers can develop effective advertising and marketing communications to promote such products. Building on the functionalist framework of emotion, the present research explores the potential of a mixed emotional appeal – poignancy – that may be useful in enhancing consumer preferences for self-made products. Notably, this effect is mediated by a fresh start mindset and openness to learning. The effect is also attenuated among consumers with a low personal control. In addition to having substantive practical implications to marketers in developing effective communication strategies, this research offers a novel perspective on the effect of poignancy on consumer decision making.

Primal/Dual Positive Math Programming: Illustrated through an Evaluation of the Impacts of Market Resistance to Genetically Modified Grains

The goal of Howitt's positive mathematical programming procedure is to calibrate a mathematical programming model so that it will reproduce a set of base data for the primal variables. This article develops an analogous procedure allowing one to specify the levels of both primal and dual variables. This article also sheds light on a potential ambiguity of Howitt's procedure (with attendant policy evaluation impacts). The procedure is illustrated through application to an equilibrium displacement model focused on evaluating the consequences of the reluctance of U.S. trading partners to accept genetically modified crop products for U.S. production patterns and net farm income.

新加坡、挪威管理外汇储备的经验及启示

本文对新加坡、挪威在积极管理外汇储备方面的经验进行了比较分析,提出了改进我国管理外汇储备的建议,包括流动性管理和积极管理应在监管上严格分开;根据国家战略,积极管理的程度可更加自由和灵活;外汇储备资金可根据需要在流动性管理和积极管理之间划拨。     

周期性失业与宏观财政政策的就业效应

通过对失业进行分解,利用菲利普斯曲线间接地估算自然失业率,研究表明中国实际失业率的变动趋势与自然失业率的变动趋势基本一致,且两者之间具有明显的阶段性。采用格兰杰因果检验和协整回归模型对财政政策变量与就业变量进行的计量分析结果表明:就业增长的确引致了政府投资的增加,但政府投资对就业的影响率并不是很高即政府投资存在逆就业倾向;虽然中国政府投资支出与就业量增长具有相同的变动趋势,但政府支出拉动就业的成本要远高于民间投资拉动就业的成本。因此,必须同时着眼于周期性失业和自然失业此两种不同成因的失业,一方面适时调整财政政策宏观调控的目标,另一方面进一步培育和完善劳动力市场机制以降低经济活动成本,才能够有针对性地制定和实施治理失业的措施。     

Using a mobile application to test the impact of giving feedback onteam-level conflict

The authors explored using a mobile application called DevelapMe for 278 business undergraduates in 54 teams to give real-time peer-based feedback during a 5-week group project. Two online surveys, Time 1 (T1) and Time 2 (T2), were administered. Results included finding three promising, new give-feedback scales: positive rating with comments, negative rating with comments, and negative/neutral rating without comments. Relationship conflict and task conflict were the outcomes. Relationship conflict significantly increased from T1 to T2. Only positive rating with comments had a significant relationship to T2 relational conflict and task conflict. Research exposing students to real-time feedback apps will prepare them for future work in teams.
