The structure of the dependence between the times to adoption by a country of two related innovations, the fax and the cellular telephone, is modelled in two stages. The first stage is the choice of density function for the time to adoption. The second stage is describing the dependence relation. For the first stage, a Weibull density function is used with its scale factor adapted to account for the economic and technological environments in different countries. Environmental data are collected from several sources. Copulas are used to model the dependence relation, three single parameter copulas are considered, those due to Farlie-Gumbel-Morgenstern (FGM), Frank and Plackett. Their properties are described and a combined estimation of the copula and density function parameters carried out. The limitations of the FGM copula rule it out from further consideration. The other copulas coupled with the Weibull, using eight environmental variables, are shown to provide valuable insights into the effects of environmental variables on adoption times. Given that a country has adopted one technology, the model of the dependence relation is used to provide the conditional density of the time to adoption of the other technology. 相似文献

In this paper we develop a spatially explicit marked point process model to generate spatial patterns of reproducing and moving
cells evolving through continuous time. In this context, marked points (i.e. cells) can divide and move as a result of (a)
their own growth and division motions, and (b) the division motions and the growth of their touching neighbours. To illustrate
such dynamics we present several simulated examples. Our results suggest that by replacing the mathematically convenient growth
and interaction functions by others more suited to mimic realistic cell reproduction dynamics, this model may provide a modelling
framework to simulate cell aggregate (i.e. tissue) dynamics. Moreover, adding movement to dividing and growing points opens
up new areas of application as well as new theoretical problems such as the analysis and generation of dense packing of discs
(or spheres).

This study proposes a hybrid heuristic algorithm employing both the Boltzmann function from simulated annealing and the mutation operator from the genetic algorithm to explore the unvisited solution region and expedite the solution searching process for the cell formation problem, so that grouping efficacy is maximized. Test problems drawn from the literature are used to test the performance of the proposed heuristic algorithm. The comparative study shows that the proposed algorithm improves the best results found in the literature for 36% of the test problems in the case when singletons solutions are allowed. 相似文献

用组织学和组织化学方法研究不同浓度的大蒜素溶液对小鼠小肠黏膜结构及部分黏膜免疫相关细胞分布与数量的影响。试验选用8周龄BALB/C雄鼠50只,分为5组,每组10只,每组分别饲喂5种不同浓度的大蒜素溶液,每天80ml,实验期为10天。结果显示,1%大蒜素溶液对小鼠小肠肠绒毛长度、V/C比值、黏膜厚度,黏膜免疫相关细胞数量影响最大,对改善和增强小鼠小肠的消化吸收功能,提高肠道的防御能力效果最佳。 相似文献
