A Daunting Task in Asia

Abstract

This article deals with the question of how to transform the public sector in Asia towards transparency and accountability. What are the main challenges and constraints in promoting transparency and accountability? What kind of strategies can we suggest to enhance and sustain transparency and accountability? It will start with the introduction, including environmental changes in public affairs, and a brief overview of transparency and accountability. Then it will look at what major challenges and constraints there are in enhancing transparency and accountability. This will be followed by a discussion of key strategies for the transformation and sustainability of transparency and accountability for further development in the Asian public sector.

民办医学生医德教育浅析

供应链协同内在动因问题是供应链战略协同中一个重要的问题,一直是理论界和企业界研究的热点问题。企业是具有智慧的商业生命体,供应链是由企业构成的具有自然生态系统特征的复杂系统。生物界的形成与演化是有一定的科学规律可循的,试图从生态学理论的角度,以自组织、协同基因、自然选择和生物进化动力为切入点研究供应链协同的内在动因,为对供应链协同内在动因问题的研究开辟新的研究视角和研究方法。

青年大学生和大学文化有着内在的联系,他们是大学文化的重要主体和变革大学文化的鲜活力量,是大学文化建设的未来、希望或生力军。积极参与大学文化建设,既是提升我国文化软实力的需要,也是青年大学生光荣而神圣的历史使命。     

Learning Business Ethics in Schools

Business ethics is a contemporary issue among business professionals. To enhance business ethics in the long run, educating future business professionals in colleges （i.e., college students） is one of the starting points. This paper aims to investigate students＇ perceptions on business ethics, such as their perceived importance of business ethics, knowledge of and interest in business ethics, their preferred method of introducing business ethics, and the perceived usefulness of learning business ethics in lessons. Focus groups will be used to collect feedback on these issues from students with different gender and seniority in colleges. This study will give insights into the students＇ perceptions on business ethics and suggest ways/methodology to increase the awareness of business ethics in colleges. Business professionals and educators can make reference to the findings to develop relevant materials on business ethics to their employees and students.     

Strategies for Improving Codes of Ethics Implementation in Construction Organizations

It is necessary to reconsider the assumptions upon which the process of implementing compliance with ethical programs rests, in both theoretical and practical terms. These assumptions should hinge on organizational enablers that allow embeddedness of codes of ethics in the web of an organization's processes. This article sets out to describe an approach that will facilitate implementation of codes of ethics in construction organizations and a comprehensive literature survey approach is adopted to achieve this. The paper equally employs the application of the European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) model as a tool to stimulate ethical behavior in an organization, with the focus on the enabler criterion of the model. The authors discuss organizational enablers in relation to the implementation of ethical codes. The study demonstrates how ethics can be managed in an organization by proposing a framework to enhance codes of ethics embeddedness in the web of an organization. The paper indicates current research gaps and future opportunities for both academics and practitioners.     

论提升执行力内涵、存在问题及方法途径

执行力就是生命力。执行力有着极其丰富的内涵,本文查摆了执行力存在问题,分析了根源,提出了四个方面的方法途径:即要树立正确的执行理念;要用学习创新的成果充实执行力;要用科学管用的制度保障执行力;要用实际成效检验执行力。
