An alternative proof of the nonemptiness of the private core

Summary. We focus on the private core [19] of an economy with a finite number of agents with differential information, a continuum of states and an infinite number of commodities. Accessing Tourists’ Unconscious Associations about International Destinations: Data Fuzzification of Reaction Times in the Implicit Association Test

Starting with the proposition that shorter reaction time implies stronger implicit preference, this study assesses destination-related top-of-mind awareness (TOMA) by examining respondent reaction time to specific destination icons. A total 87 college students were recruited to complete self-report surveys and computer-based implicit association tests (IAT). The results show that participants’ responses vary depending on the two measures (i.e., self-report surveys and IATs). Through a data fuzzification method, the study demonstrates that the IAT would enhance our understanding of tourist TOMA, particularly related to familiarity issues. The implications of the study pertain to destination marketing are fully discussed.     

Internet Job Search and Labor Market Outcome

This study examines the effect of the use of internet job search (IJS) on individual wages. The data utilized in the study are obtained from the Internet and Computer Use Dictionary in the Current Population Survey of September 2001 and October 2003. An Oaxaca Decomposition is used to examine the extent to which wage differences are influenced by IJS. The results show that accessibility to the internet is a crucial factor in the decision of an individual to utilize the internet for job search activities. However, no clear evidence exists that IJS increases individual wages. Additionally, the study also demonstrates that IJS is subject to self-selection bias. Thus, failure to control for self-selection bias results in a very serious bias in estimation.     

新时期农村专业经济协会发展的制约因素探析

中国农村专业合作经济协会由于其培育和发展的时间不长，目前存在多方面的问题致使其市场作用没有得到有效发挥，其比较优势还没有得到充分显现。在当前新的历史转型期，只有在社会主义新农村建设的大视野下，从相关人员的思想认识、外部环境和内部机制等三方面去消解制约农村专业经济协会发展的因素，才能使其健康快速发展。     

基于协会会议参会人角度的国际会议目的地竞争力研究——以北京为例

北京建设国际会议城市是其实现建设世界城市的重要组成部分，因此，研究北京作为国际会议城市的竞争力具有重要意义。文章从协会会议参会人的角度，研究影响国际会议目的地选择的因素，并通过重要性一绩效分析方法（IPA）研究北京作为国际会议目的地的竞争力。文章指出，北京建设国际会议城市具有多方面优势，其中“可达性”、“目的地形象”、“安全”重要性高、表现性好，属于“继续保持”的因素，同时北京也有很多需要改进的地方，如“通用语言”、“住宿成本”、“当地居民的友好程度”以及“接待和住宿设施”。     

关联规则挖掘Apriori算法的研究

关联规则反映了大量数据中项集之间的相互依存性和关联性。Apriori算法是关联规则挖掘中的经典算法。本文在对Apriori算法分析的基础上,针对该算法存在的缺陷,即会产生大量冗余的候选集并频繁扫描数据库,提出了改进的Apriori算法,并给予验证。实践证明,改进后的算法效率优于传统的算法。     

农村专业合作组织的制度经济学分析——以河北省青县利财蔬菜合作社为例

作为一种新型的组织制度，农村专业合作组织能够克服小规模家庭经营不能有效参与市场竞争、抵御市场风险的弱点。文章利用交易费用理论和制度变迁理论以河北省青县利财蔬菜合作社为例对农村专业合作组织进行分析。     

Processes with volatility-induced stationarity: an application for interest rates

In this paper we propose a refinement of the existing definition of volatility-induced stationarity that allows us to distinguish between processes with drift and diffusion induced stationarity and processes with pure volatility-induced stationarity. We also propose a classification of stationary processes with volatility-induced stationarity according to the volatility that is needed to inject stationarity. Processes with volatility-induced stationarity are potentially applicable to interest rate time-series since, as has been acknowledged, mean-reversion effects occur mainly in periods of high volatility. As such, we provide evidence that the logarithm of the Fed funds rate can be modelled as a local martingale with volatility-induced stationarity.
