A multidimensional analysis of supply chain integration in canadian manufacturing

Supply chain management is a key element in companies' competitiveness. We surveyed 512 Canadian manufacturers, most of which were small or medium‐sized enterprises (SMEs). Our survey was structured around four dimensions of supply change integration, namely: nesting, collaboration, financial incorporation, and distancing. In this paper we describe the use of supply chain management practices and show that their use is dependent on the nature of the business partners (i.e., upstream or downstream positioning of partnership in chain logistics of businesses studied), business field (i.e., sector of activities in which the business operates), and organizational size. Our findings suggest that supply chain practices were used more intensively with clients than with suppliers. They also show that practitioners and scholars need to qualify the concept of integration which is often used in a one‐dimensional perspective. Copyright © 2010 ASAC. 论《关雎》英译的解构主义视角

本文作者从解构主义视角对理雅各、韦利、许渊冲和汪榕培与任秀桦等人所译的《关雎》四种不同英文译本中选取的部分内容进行了比较分析与研究。四种译本的风格韵味各有不同,首先表明了译者本人不可避免要受到自身所处时代社会政治经济生活环境和自我身份以及其他因素的影响。任何译者要想将原文《关雎》作为绝对标准而在译文中完全再现是不可能的,因为每位译者都会无一例外地根据自己对《关雎》的解读来进行翻译操作,从而在译入语文本之中＂延异＂出《关雎》原作的新生命。

Integrated rural tourism:: Concepts and Practice

A model of integrated rural tourism, which took account of the various resources (cultural, social, environmental, economic), their use, and the role of pertinent stakeholders, was developed to explore effective methods of promoting tourism as part of a rural development strategy. “Strategic fit” was used to assess the effectiveness of the model in adding value locally in the context of an established tourism area in western Ireland. The model reveals considerable robustness in identifying features that promote the adding of value in a holistic way and in identifying the pertinent stakeholders and issues that require attention to meet objectives more effectively.     

Integrated strategy for tourism education/training

Tourism is in need of a comprehensive framework within which to design and deliver education and training programs in a more effective manner. This paper reports the efforts of two provincial governments in Canada to formulate an integrated strategy on which to base the planning and development of a tourism education and training system. The goal of such integration is to ensure a greater degree of interdependence among different levels of the total education system so as to provide well-defined alternative career paths for present and future students. Initial results of the strategy on the development of the education infrastructure are reviewed.

产业集聚程度与出口规模的实证研究——基于2000-2011年江苏省纺织产业的数据

江苏省纺织产业主要以集群形式发展,且其出口规模增长迅速。本文首先综述前人对两者关系研究的相关文献。接着,利用2000-2011年相关统计数据,计算江苏省纺织产业的区位熵,实证分析了江苏省纺织产业的集聚程度现象与其出口贸易之间的内在关系。计量结果表明,江苏省纺织产业的产业集聚与出口贸易之间存在着长期稳定的均衡关系,且产业集聚度的提高有效地促进了出口贸易的增长。最后对江苏省纺织产业集群与对外贸易的发展提出相应的对策建议。
