Abstract The purpose of this study is to identify important selection attributes for customers dining at Chinese restaurants in the state of Indiana, and the determinant and predicting factors in customers' intentions to return. A closed-ended questionnaire was used, and a systematic sampling approach was employed to survey a sample of customers in three Chinese restaurants in Indiana. The data were analyzed using factor and multiple regression analysis. A four-dimensional structure was established from 14 selection attributes. The results of the study indicated four dimensions that were significantly related to the likelihood of customers returning to the same restaurants, as follows: “Food and Environment,” “Service and Courtesy,” “Price and Value,” and “Location, and Advertising and Promotion.” 相似文献

This study focuses on the independent and interactive effects of problem issue situations and resolution strategies on performance in manufacturer–dealer channel relationships. Conflict issue situation and resolution strategy were a priori matched for a 2 × 2 factorial quasi-experiment. The theoretical framework of (inter)organizational conflict reaction theory was used to extend existing empirical findings about the influence of two factors that foster constructive or destructive consequences experienced from the prospective of dealers. Data were obtained from a sample of 243 dealers and 9 trade administrative experts. The results indicate significant main effects of issue situation and resolution strategy on dealer performance. A significant interaction effect also was found. Managerial implications for dealing with ongoing problem issues with different resolution strategies are discussed. 相似文献

Negotiating is one of the four major decisional roles played by managers. In fact, resolving conflict is said to occupy 20% of a manager's working hours. This growing frequency of negotiation scenarios coupled with the increasing complexity of the issues which need to be resolved in a negotiation make the possibility of computer enhancement for negotiation very appealing. Implementations of computerized Negotiation Support Systems (NSS) in the business world, international affairs, labor law, and environmental and safety disputes have demonstrated their potential for making negotiation problems more manageable and comprehensible for negotiators. Still, pioneers in NSS research have expressed their dismay at the lack of rigorous empirical research and evaluation of NSS. In particular, research is needed which will determine how and under what circumstances negotiation processes can be enhanced by NSS support.This article describes empirical research on the effects of a highly structured, interactive NSS on the outcome of face-to-face issues resolution and the attitudes of negotiators in both low- and high-conflict situations. In a laboratory experiment, bargaining dyads played the roles of manufacturers negotiating a four-issue, three-year purchase agreement for an engine subcomponent in conditions of high and low conflict of interest. The results of the study showed that NSS support did help bargainers achieve higher joint outcomes and more balanced contracts, but that the NSS support increased negotiation time. Satisfaction was greater for NSS dyads in both conflict levels, and perceived negative climate was reduced in low conflict.One primary implication of the results of this study is that NSS developers should keep in mind the importance of providing users with a system with interactive qualities which not only enhance the decision-making process but also provide them with a sense of participation in reaching the solution, as was done in this study. 相似文献

随着超高分辨率极化合成孔径雷达(PolSAR)图像数据的出现,有必要对PolSAR图像的去噪过程对于极化分解结果的影响进行评测。相干斑去噪过程的实施将对观测场景中的PolSAR图像原有极化属性产生不同程度的影响,这将会导致分解结果出现偏差。以非相干分解模型为评估对象,以喷气推进实验室(JPL)提供的开源机载超高分辨率PolSAR系统数据为实验样本,提出了一种利用绝对相对误差的定量评测方法。评测结果显示:对于超高分辨率图像,相干斑噪声的影响明显变小,分解窗口可相应的缩小为7×7的尺寸。研究结果对于PolSAR图像的后期遥感应用中的参数选择具有重要参考意义。 相似文献

This study attempts to investigate the linkage among trust types, distrust, and relationship performance outcomes in the context of long-term supply agreement-type alliances between small business dyads. The results suggest a significant positive relationship among goodwill trust and risk-taking tendency, cooperation, satisfaction, and conflict resolution and a negative relationship between goodwill trust and transaction costs. Competence trust is found to have a positive relationship with cooperation, conflict resolution, and satisfaction and a negative relationship with transaction costs. However, no significant relationship is found between competence trust and risk-taking tendency. Distrust, on the other hand, is found to have a negative relationship with cooperation, satisfaction, and conflict resolution and a significant positive relationship with transaction costs with no effect on risk-taking tendency. 相似文献

Inspections are an important tool for enforcing OSHA regulations. As with any enforcement procedure, OSHA inspections are
an effective tool to the extent that they are conducted in a consistent manner. In this study we compared 3,000 inspections
randomly initiated by OSHA with 3,000 inspections conducted by OSHA in response to an employee complaint. Significant differences
in both process and outcome variables were found between the two types of inspections. We discuss the findings in terms of

This research attempts to discriminate empirically between the predictable events and resolution irrelevancy hypotheses as both pertain to abnormal stock price performance around regular and special proxy statement mailing dates and the related shareholder meeting dates. We find no evidence that these events result in the positive wealth effects suggested by the predictable events hypothesis. We do find evidence of increased idiosyncratic stock price volatility or information flow around special meeting proxy statement mailing dates and special meeting dates.
