Investigating the consumer–environment interaction through image modelling technologies

Abstract

This study uses an innovative research tool to evaluate the hypothesis of a consumer–environment interaction. A new computer graphics methodology keeps track of the time spent and the number of purchases made during shopping, together with several other behavioural measures. A laboratory experiment uncovered an interaction effect in dwell time and number of purchases between the type of shopping trip (fill-in trip vs. major trip) and the consumers' layout preference. Shoppers taking major trips were more prone to shop in a free-form layout, whereas those taking fill-in trips tended to prefer a grid layout. The article discusses implications for research and practice, identifying areas for future research.     

碱性蛋白酶提取杜仲籽粕蛋白的工艺优化

采用二次通用旋转组合设计实验优化超声波辅助碱性蛋白酶提取杜仲籽粕蛋白工艺。在单因素实验基础上,选择pH值、碱性蛋白酶用量、酶解温度与酶解时间为考察因素,以杜仲籽粕蛋白提取率为响应值建立回归数学模型,对杜仲籽粕蛋白提取工艺条件进行优化。结果表明,最佳提取工艺条件为：pH10,碱性蛋白酶用量320u／g,酶解温度55℃,酶解时间115rain。在此优化条件下,杜仲籽粕蛋白提取率可迭74．28％。

北京—广州和徐州—兰州两条客运专线在郑州枢纽内接入交汇的方案众多且较复杂,在分析枢纽客运系统存在问题的基础上,对客运站选址和客运专线引入郑州枢纽的方案进行比选研究。     

管理报酬机制的构建

两权分离制度形成了企业所有者和经营者的委托代理关系,由于双方利益的冲突,委托人必然采取措施促使两者利益的趋同,报酬机制就是其中的一种有效的激励措施。本文以S=S0 aS1 bS2 E作为报酬方案的简化模型,具体分析了模型相关的构成因素,并以美国大企业管理人员报酬构成为例加以说明。     

Characteristics Associated with the Corporate Decision to Adopt Long‐term Performance Plans

This study investigates why firms adopt long‐term performance plans. The results provide evidence that firms that adopt long‐term performance plans have higher risk as measured by Beta, have lower percentages of managerial stockholdings, have higher levels of investment in research and development expenditures two years prior to adoption of a long‐term performance plan, and experience increases in the ratio of debt to total assets in the two year period prior to long‐term performance plan adoption. Also, firms increase their investments in research and development and capital expenditures following adoption of long‐term performance plans.     

Estimating demand for cellular phone service under nonlinear pricing

Cellular phone carriers typically offer complicated nonlinear tariffs. Consumers make a discrete choice among several rate plans. Each plan has a nonlinear price schedule, and price is usually lower for in-network calls. I present an empirical framework to estimate demand under such nonlinear pricing schemes by using parsimonious carrier-level data and apply the estimation method to analyze the market in Taiwan. I evaluate the impacts of termination-based pricing schemes on the market structure by counterfactual simulations. There is no evidence showing that the network effect resulting from termination-based pricing has significant effects on market structure.

Young Consumers' Evaluation of School Meals

ABSTRACT

This study determines the impact service quality on customer satisfaction in the school meal context. The empirical analysis reveals three dimensions of service quality (quality of food, atmosphere, and customer service), which have a high impact on customer satisfaction. A low level of satisfaction was identified but with differences between the various schools. Understanding the antecedents of pupils' satisfaction is important to policy makers, schools, and school meals providers. Due to the increasing importance of school meal programs and their high impact on nutritional status on young people, a high service quality in school meal programs is inevitable.     

The Role of Information Security Development （ISD） in Effective Information Security Management （ISM） Implementation in the Banks： A Nigerian Case

This research discusses the role of information security development （ISD） using organizational factors such as information security plans, information security awareness, perceived quality training programs, information security policies and procedures, and organizational culture in effective information security management （ISM） implementation in the banks （a Nigerian case）. This paper explores the existing literature and a proposed framework that consists of ISD such as information security plans, information security awareness, perceived quality training programs, information security policies and procedures, and organizational culture in ISM implementation. ISD factors are found to be statistically significant, because it motivates an organization to implement effective ISM in the banks. Hence, it could be said that the role of ISD practices in an effective implementation of ISM among banks in Nigeria will be of great value.

本文介绍了南京工程环境工程专业课程设置基本情况,与一些兄弟院校环境工程专业做比较;介绍调研采用的网络问卷,并针对调查结果进行分析,得出本专业学生对专业课程满意度和期望度,并对应环境工程专业人才培养方案,对部分已开设课程做相应改动,对部分未开设课程做相应补充。
