Understanding Active Loyalty Behavior in Hotel Reward Programs Through Customers’ Switching Costs and Perceived Program Value

Whether loyalty programs have become part of the lexicon of buzzwords or not, the hotel industry continues to adopt loyalty/rewards programs as a major channel to nurture customers’ active loyalty as well as to reap return business. This study examins the structural relationships among perceived program value, switching costs, and active loyalty. The proposed model is supported by an online survey dataset collected from United States (US) tourists. The findings show that perceived program value is less effective in driving active loyalty compared with switching costs. This implies a need for strategic thinking on the part of hoteliers and the industry. Rather than aggressively spending money or copying schemes used by competitors to gear up program value, the value of a defensive tactic of increasing switching costs should be considered.

在诠释林业院校基础化学实验教学质量保障体系内涵和当前基础化学实验教学现状基础上,提出通过构建结构合理的基础化学实验教学队伍、完善落实基础化学实验室教学管理制度、根据人才培养目标需要调整基础化学实验课程教学内容、实施开放式实验教学、构建实验教学质量监控体系等,是构建林业院校基础化学实验教学质量保障体系有效途径。     

Follow the trails: A path to systematically designing corporate alumni programs

Organizations today are facing increasing amounts of turnover and evolving labor markets. When employees leave they become corporate alumni, which initial research suggests are an important and valuable part of an organization’s network. Corporate alumni can provide value as brand ambassadors, a source of employee referral, as a return employee (i.e. boomerang), or through knowledge sharing. One way to establish a strong network of alumni and achieve some of these benefits is to establish a corporate alumni program (CAP). Although CAPs are increasingly being recognized as beneficial for organizations, little is known about how to systematically design and implement these programs to enhance the likelihood of success. In this article, we utilize instructional systems design processes to offer guidance for how to strategically develop CAPs. We analyze existing programs to highlight common elements and use this research as a basis for creating the TRAILS typology, a way to designate practices for CAP implementation. We also suggest ways to evaluate and determine whether these programs are successful.     

基于模糊综合评价法的TL林业工业园区发展绩效评价

通过对林业工业园区建立目标的分析,从推进林区工业化发展、提高林业产业竞争力和带动林区城市化发展三方面构建林业工业园区发展绩效的评价指标体系,并采用模糊综合评价方法,对TL林业工业园区2012年和2014年的发展绩效进行了对比实证分析。结果表明:与2012年相比,2014年TL林业工业园区的发展绩效有了很大的提高。     

基于行为事件访谈法对国有林业企业绩效管理的研究--以福建省J公司为例

针对我国林业企业绩效管理中企业缺乏规范化定量化的员工绩效考评体系,绝大部分企业沿用传统的、以经验判断为主体的绩效评估手段等问题严重制约着林业企业效益的增长,很多林业企业人力资源管理人员素质偏低、人才队伍结构不合理的现状,提出了林业企业必须采取相应对策,树立以人为本的理念,通过提高绩效管理水平建立起有效的人力资源开发机制,培养高素质的人才队伍的对策。     

基于DEA方法的WG林业局改制效率分析

运用DEA方法对WG林业局进行改制效率实证研究。根据WG林业局具体改制情况,从改制前后对比的角度分析2001-2012年综合效率、纯技术效率及规模效率的变化。结果表明,WG林业局改制后的平均综合效率高于改制前且接近于最佳效率1,整体的改制在经济、社会及生态方面都取得明显的成效。     

Teaching Foreign Currency Translation and Its Effect on Financial Statement Analysis

This paper provides a straight forward explanation of currency translation, an example of its effects on financial ratios and a sureadsheet model for instructors to generate a variety of financial stations for multinational companies using this approach, students are not burdened by the mechanics of foreign currency translation in the survey course and can concentrate on-the critical issue of translation and financial analysis.     

Beliefs about Exchange‐Rate Stability: Survey Evidence from the Currency Board in Bulgaria

Abstract

Currency pegs seldom achieve full credibility even after delivering low inflation and a stable exchange rate for many years. We use unique survey data from Bulgaria’s currency board to investigate the origins of incomplete credibility. We show that the limitations imposed by the currency board on output stabilization policies are a major source of concern. Many people view the financial stabilization policies as a reason for high unemployment and therefore as unsustainable. Another important factor for low credibility is the concern over potential international shocks. Conversely, past instability does not seem to translate strongly into expectations of future instability.     

Is participation in agri-environmental programs affected by liquidity and solvency?

Financial constraints, both in the short and long run, have an impact on economic well-being of farm families. Additionally, financial constraints have an impact on production efficiency and technology adoption. This study investigates factors affecting farmers’ participation in the agri-environmental programs like Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) and the Environmental Quality Incentives Programs (EQIPs) in the U.S. particular attention is given to the roles of liquidity and solvency on participation in CRP and EQIP. Results show that both liquidity and solvency have a negative impact on participation in such programs. Additionally, we found that access to the Internet plays an important role in the farmer's decision to participate in CRP and EQIP. Our results also suggested that beginning farmers are more likely to participate in EQIP program.
