团队内冲突对团队决策质量和满意度影响的实证研究

Conflict is a pivotal variable influencing team decision performance. This article reviewed literature on intragroup conflict and studied how different types of conflicts affect perceived team decision quality and satisfaction. We conducted a survey on 156 managers and found that the task-relationship conflict dimensions are also valid in the Chinese context. We also found that both task conflict and relationship conflict are negatively related to team members’ decision satisfaction. Profitability,concentration and trade flows: Issues of non-linearity and exogeneity

This paper deals with the econometric estimation of a traditional profitability model employing cross-section data for 110 4-digit Canadian manufacturing industries for the period 1972–1976. A series of estimations and statistical tests suggest that the relationship between industry price—cost margins and the Herfindahl index of concentration is non-linear, non-monotonic but exhibits an everal upward trend across concentration classes. Empirical evidence regarding the disciplinary effect of imports does not support the import competition hypothesis.

The Heffalump Revisited

Professor Peter Kilby is the author of Hunting the Heffalump, a classic in the entrepreneurship literature. In this opening article he returns to the propositions he set forth more than 30 years ago. He refines his earlier notion of the entrepreneurial task and probes more deeply into non-economic factors that can create a deficiency of the supply of requisite entrepreneurial services at the national level. How High‐Commitment HRM Relates to Engagement and Commitment: The Moderating Role of Task Proficiency

In a multisource field study, we examine the relationship between employee perceptions of high‐commitment human resource management (HRM), task proficiency, work engagement, and organizational commitment. Based on conservation of resources (COR) theory, we first propose that work engagement mediates the relationship between high‐commitment HRM and organizational commitment. Second, we propose a mediated moderation model in which employees’ task proficiency moderates the relationship between high‐commitment HRM and work engagement, which in turn affects organizational commitment. Results indicate that the relationship between high‐commitment HRM and organizational commitment was fully mediated by work engagement. Results also supported the mediated moderation model. A significant indirect effect was found from high‐commitment HRM to commitment via engagement for low task proficiency, but not for high task proficiency. Implications and directions for future research are discussed. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
