心理旅游的本质、消费特性及潜在消费人群分析

为推动心理旅游市场的内部发育,根据近十年来国内心理旅游活动的开展状况,对心理旅游的本质、消费特性与潜在消费人群进行了分析。研究表明,作为一种新型消费行为,心理旅游是旅游的身心调节功能与专业心理咨询服务的有机结合,其消费动机源自心理健康需要与旅游需要的复合,其消费对象为心理咨询劳务与旅游劳务的组合,而其潜在消费人群主要指那些心理健康已受损或正受威胁而以度假休闲旅游或医疗保健旅游满足其心理健康需求的群体,包括心理应激体验者、心理社会发展受困人群和职业生涯心理危机体验者。     

长沙城郊休闲农业旅游老年旅游行为研究

本文将休闲农业旅游和老年旅游行为相结合，采用问卷调查与座谈访问法，对长沙城郊休闲农业旅游中老年消费行为进行研究，提出农村生活怀旧游、疗养健体游、家庭和谐游、农耕特色文化游、乡村特产购物游等对策措施，以进一步扩大休闲农业旅游老年旅游市场。     

桂林国家旅游综合改革试验区建设的目标、任务与方向

桂林是目前我国惟一以城市为单位在国家层面意义上进行旅游综合改革的试验区。试验区的改革试验，不仅关系到桂林和广西旅游的可持续发展，其成功经验必将为全国许多相关城市的旅游发展提供有益的借鉴。因此，明确试验区建设的总目标、主要任务和发展方向，是居于首要地位的极其重要的问题。     

Towards a model of cross-sectoral policy development in leisure: the case of sport and tourism

Whilst leisure studies has now become an established field of academic analysis, there is still little literature on the dynamics of the leisure policy process, particularly in the area of cross-sectoral liaison. This paper attempts to synthesize previous research relating to general policy dynamics in developing a model of cross-sectoral policy development. In developing this model, particular attention is given to two major ESRC funded projects of the 1980s – work on Inter-Governmental Relations and Government Industry Relations – which produced two recognizably different models of the policy process. A combined model is proposed which is used to examine and compare the structures of the sport and the tourism policy communities and to analyse how these structures might effective the emergence of a sport-tourism policy network. In conclusion, the extent to which the model this paper develops might be applicable to other areas of leisure policy is discussed.     

Individual and Institutional Concentration of Leisure Research in North America

The purpose of this article is to identify key characteristics of the community of leisure scholars in North America and to use patterns derived from data about publication activity as a platform for discussing the nature and implications of concentration in leisure research at the individual and institutional levels. The study uses cluster analysis to detect patterns of research and publication activity among 1785 people who were associated with leisure research in North America in the 1990s, concentrating on the slightly smaller number of people (1631) whose names were listed as authors on at least one publication in all editions of 6 research journals and 14 conference proceedings from 1990 to 1999 inclusive. The results demonstrate that leisure research in North America is concentrated at both the individual scholar and institutional levels. For example, at the individual level, less than one-fifth of authors accounted for more than two-thirds of journal articles and conference papers. The implications of these findings are discussed with reference to issues such as the critical mass of scholars and problems of disciplinary isolation detected by previous researchers.     

陕西省师范类大学生闲暇体育现状研究

采用文献资料法、问卷调查法、数理统计法对陕西省5所高校师范类大学生闲暇体育行为进行了调查研究,结果表明陕西省师范类大学生参加闲暇体育活动的人数比例较高,但是其参加的主动性很差;不同性别的学生在闲暇时间里参加的体育运动内容也有较大差异。并根据研究结果和对陕西省师范类大学生闲暇体育活动的现状分析提出了相应的对策和建议。     

Fate control and leisure attitudes

It has been suggested that attitudes toward leisure may be affected by one's perception of the ability to control life's consequences. Rotter's I‐E scale was used in the present study to measure the perceived locus of control and was correlated with the scales of Neulingers Leisure Attitude Inventory. Results indicated that positive attitudes toward leisure were generally more associated with an external than an internal locus of control, i.e., with the perception that one's fate is to a large degree personally uncontrollable. These results are explained in terms of the confounding influence of work/achievement orientation in the measurement of and in the relationship of those variables. Implications for leisure counseling, leisure education, and therapeutic recreation are also discussed.

The relationships between stress,health, and physically active leisure as a function of life‐cycle

This article examines relationships between stress, health, and participation in physically active leisure using data collected as part of the 1985 and 1990 U.S. National Health Interview Surveys (NHIS). In particular, the article analyzes: (a) the effects of life‐cycle progression (controlled for gender) on subjectively perceived stress and self‐reported health; (b) the role of physically active leisure in enhancing health or buffering adverse health outcomes of stress; and (c) the effects of selected social‐economic factors, such as education and income, on the relationships between life‐cycle, stress, health, and physically active leisure. According to our analyses: (1) stress is unevenly distributed across the life span; (2) stress‐reducing effects of physically active leisure are present among retired older people more so than in the middle‐aged life‐cycle groups; and (3) direct health‐enhancing effects of participation in physically active leisure are more evident than the buffering effects of leisure on stress‐health relationships. A critical discussion of methodological and substantive issues facing researchers interested in the relationships between leisure, stress, and health is provided.     

What Would Veblen Say?

It has been more than 100 years since Thorstein Veblen published The Theory of the Leisure Class (TLC). The book was a scathing attack on the greedy leisure class of his day and described how people used wealth to elevate their social position in society. Surprisingly, few researchers use this book to understand leisure in contemporary society. TLC remains as relevant today as it did when first published. In this essay I elucidate some of Veblen's ideas and show how they shed light on leisure spending, emulation among birdwatchers, our display of books, boundary maintenance and social distance, and environmental destruction.
