Marketing performance measurement in hotels,travel agencies and tour operators: a study of current practices

As successful tourism firms invest heavily in marketing to defend or improve their competitive position, they increasingly need to measure their marketing performance. Previous studies related to tourism have largely focused on financial and operational performance, but the marketing perspective has been largely overlooked. Drawing on an in-depth investigation involving 12 hotel chains, 8 travel agencies and 8 tour operators, this study provides an overview of the state-of-the-art marketing performance measurements among some of the leading tourism firms in Italy. Several issues and unanswered questions are also identified.

本文首先阐述了发展电子渠道对电信运营商的意义和必要性,并以中国移动通信集团黑龙江有限公司绥化分公司电子渠道发展现状为例,从而进一步了解目前电信运营商电子渠道的发展状况,并结合现状提出了未来电信运营商电子渠道发展趋势。为我国电信运营商的电子渠道建设发展提供参考。     

A Comparative Study of Performance Between Operators With Work Discontinuity and Without Work Discontinuity

In situations where discontinuity in operation occurs, specifically in a country where coontractualization has an increasing trend, the performance level of operators after the work break is of great interest. Existing studies have found that the performance of an operator declines after her operation is completely stopped. However, when the operator performed other tasks （may it be similar or not from her previous task） during the work break, the performance after the work break seems to be affected at different level. Contractual and regular operators from a semiconductor and textile company were considered to replicate a discontinuous and continuous operation. The processing times of contractual workers before and after several months of work break were compared. Two types of work break were seen to have significant effect on an operator＇s performance after the work break, Type 1： 0% to 40% similarity from previous task and Type 2： 40% to 97% similarity from previous task. One can find that when 21% of tasks performed during the work break are similar to the operator＇s previous task, there would be no change in her performance upon returning. On the other hand, a 5% decline in performance was observed after work break type 1 and an 8.54% improvement after work break type 2. Also, a remission rate of 18% from end of stint 1 to start of stint 2 under work break type 1 was seen, while 8% for work break type 2. This may also be true to other industries. Thus, further study is suggested.

“EB”环境中经营者信息披露义务的法律规制——从消费者知情权保护视角

"EB"环境中,对消费者知情权的保护,是消费者权益保护的前提。如何科学界定"EB"环境下的消费者的概念和消费者知情权的保护范围,我国现阶段仍存在立法空白和盲点,相关电子商务立法的缺位是导致消费者知情权遭受损害的根本原因。鉴于"EB"环境中消费者知情权实现的特殊性,立法应与时俱进:从交易前加强对消费者知情权的法律保护,进而保障消费者其它消费权益的实现,促进我国电子商务行业的有序发展。     

中国城市外来与本地劳动力的就业对比研究——以上海为例

主要依据上海的抽样调查数据,在考察外来与本地劳动力基本特征的基础上,对比分析两者目前就业和就业转换差异,得出了一些有意义的结论。     

配送时间窗约束下车辆调度遗传算法研究

通过改进传统的遗传算法,结合中海油服物资配送特点,采用启发式交叉算子的方法,确保了算法迭代中的种群多样性。制定了基于配送时间窗约束情况下模糊预约时间的钻井平台损失惩罚函数,对可行解的范围进行了限定,从而加速收敛,保证了运算的效率。通过案例进行分析证明了可行性。     

Corporate responsibility in the UK tourism industry

This paper represents part of a programme of research into the development of indicators that can be used to monitor movement of the tourism industry with reference to more sustainable positions. In order to determine the potential for implementing such indicators this paper asked senior representatives of the UK tourism industry what factors influenced the degree of responsibility shown by their organisation. The research also asked what factors respondents felt would trigger any change in the actions of tour operators in the future. The research reveals that while many in the industry see industry structure as the constraining force, the potential for market advantage or the fear of negative PR also determines company actions. The research utilised elite interviewing for 35 senior representatives of the UK tourism industry.
