官产学合作对社会资本与技术创新的中介效应研究

社会资本对技术创新的影响机制一直是一个备受关注但又争议颇多的问题,社会资本主要通过官产学合作促进区域创新产出。将官产学合作作为中介变量,通过对2009-2013年中国内地30个地区面板数据的实证检验,研究了社会资本与区域创新产出之间的关系。结果表明,社会资本、官学合作和官产合作均对区域创新产出有正向促进作用,且只有官学合作在社会资本与技术创新之间具有中介效应,而官产合作和产学合作并不具有中介效应。最后,基于上述研究结果,为我国创新发展提出相关政策建议。     

Marketing Channels and Retail Store Density in East Asia*

By measuring retail store density with regard to population, several studies have indicated that marketing channels in Asia are different from those in the USA and European countries. The present paper investigates to what extent a model similar to Flath and Nariu (1996) can empirically predict retail densities in Japan and China. The results suggest that the secular decline in the number of retail stores in Japan primarily results from the proliferation of car ownership and the expansion in the average size of a dwelling. We also demonstrate that the model accounts for the large variations in China's retail density.     

DO DEALERS INFER INFORMATION FROM ORDER FLOW?

I examine strategic behavior among dealers in the NASDAQ market and document that there is a lead quote‐setting dealer in each security and that the quotes posted by this leader are informative. Other dealers free‐ride this information by following the lead quote‐setting dealer. The lead dealer can be identified by two information signals: (1) percentage of time spent on the inside market (i.e., posting inside quotes), and (2) trade volume transacted. Dealers that free‐ride the leader's quotes quickly update their posted quotes in the same direction as the leader's quote change. My findings suggest that directing trade to the lead dealer may be more advantageous than randomly routing trade.

On the curvature of the reporting function from objective reality to subjective feelings

I suggest the idea of a reporting function, r(.), from reality to feelings. The ‘happiness’ literature claims we have demonstrated diminishing marginal utility of income. I show not, and that knowing r(.)'s curvature is crucial. A quasi-experiment on heights is studied.

2/1斜纹织物边组织的选择方法的探讨

在分析了2/1斜纹织物产生卷边的原因的基础上,依据同面组织防止卷边理论,在确保踏盘开口织机织造可行的前提下,分别选择平纹、2/2方平、2/1变化方平作为2/1斜纹织物的边组织,并针对这4种情况,简述了各种边组织的织造装置,进行了小样试织。通过对试织小样观察与分析比较,给出了2/1斜纹织物边组织的合理的选择方案。     

Sustainable Asset Growth and the Accounting Rate of Return in Not–For–Profit Organizations: Theory and Evidence

Parties needing to monitor the financial performance of not–for–profit (NFP) organizations have traditionally relied upon financial ratios of accounting data. This practice can lead to misleading inferences about profitability in relation to organizational needs, since accounting rates of return are potentially poor proxies for economic rates of return. In this paper we show how to compensate for the imprecision of the accounting rate of return through the use of a simple interpretive rule based on the finding that accounting and economic rates of return are on the same side of the growth rate. According to our rule, the accounting rate of return must exceed the asset growth rate in order to sustain growth with internally–generated cash flow. Logistic regressions are used to test the rule's ability to predict sustainable asset growth in a sample of NFP hospitals. The findings not only validate the rule, but also show that the rule exploits all usable information contained in the accounting rate of return
