利用调查数据对上海市老年妇女的社会参与现状进行分析。老年妇女倾向于更多参与体育锻炼、娱乐活动等社会活动形式,而较少参与志愿组织、老年协会和妇女组织等社会活动。多变量Logistic回归分析模型肯定了年龄、城乡、经济状况、婚姻状况、自理能力以及是否知晓参与项目和是否知晓服务项目7个变量对老年妇女的社会参与具有显著影响。老年妇女是否知晓参与项目对社会参与的影响强度最大,知晓程度在很大程度上决定了老年妇女的社会参与状况。  相似文献

劳动合同是农民工最重要的劳动权益之一。从是否签订劳动合同和合同年限等两个方面考察了农民工的劳动合同状况及其影响因素。通过江苏省的调研数据,农民工劳动合同的签订率仅为44.2%,劳动合同的年限普遍较短。Probit和负二项回归模型的结果显示:受教育程度、持有技能证书、对相关劳动法律的了解程度与农民工签订劳动合同以及合同年限之间均存在着显著的正相关关系;第一代农民工的合同年限明显长于新生代农民工;从事建筑业以及在民营、个体单位就业的农民工,签订劳动合同的可能性将显著下降,合同年限也显著缩短。提出了政策建议。  相似文献

This paper studies pertinent materials related to the conservation of textile apparel and textile‐related natural resources that appeared in poster campaign communications published during the Second World War in the US. An examination of World War II poster campaign communications conveying the need for conservation efforts and rationing as communicated to consumers infers the historical context of the era. These poster campaign communications asked consumers to utilize fully of limited resources while maintaining a sense of individuality and trend‐setting creativity and fashion. World War II shortages and allocations influenced fashion innovations in women's apparel in the US. This paper provides a retrospective examination of innovative trends and the various conservation themes associated with women's fashion identify themes used to influence and to inspire Americans to reuse and recycle in support of the war effort. At no other time in history was voluntary textile conservation as prevalent in mainstream American culture as it was during the 1940s. Content analysis reveals reoccurring themes that appeared in the advertisements developed by the War Advertising Council in the 1940s and used in their poster campaign advertisements. We assess the inclusion of women in Canadian corporate annual report (CAR) photographs and on boards of directors at TSX100 firms and evaluate whether either is related to financial performance. We find that women are underrepresented in CAR photographs and on boards. In CAR photographs women are frequently portrayed as outsiders or less powerful organizational members than men. Higher return on equity (ROE) was found at companies that more frequently depicted women in their CAR photographs. However, no association was observed between the inclusion of women on the board and the ROE of the firm. The applied and theoretical implications of these results are discussed. 文章以江苏省为例,利用2019年“江苏省农民工市民化”课题组的问卷调查数据对农民工的落户意愿进行研究。选用二分类Logistic回归模型,通过逐步代入不同特征的变量来挖掘影响因素的潜在信息。研究发现:年龄越大的农民工对城市生活状况和社会融合状况十分敏感,若不能达到预期将导致落户意愿下降;男性农民工相较于女性有更低的落户意愿;家庭人数越多,农民工落户意愿更强;社会融合状况在农民工是否落户的问题中起到了关键作用,农民工在城镇拥有安全感、幸福感、获得感,其落户意愿会大大增强。  相似文献

This paper provides new theoretical insights into the interconnections and relationships between women, management and globalization in the Middle East (ME). The discussion is positioned within broader globalization debates about women’s social status in ME economies. Based on case study evidence and the UN datasets, the article critiques social, cultural and economic reasons for women’s limited advancement in the public sphere. These include the prevalence of the patriarchal work contract within public and private institutions, as well as cultural and ethical values which create strongly defined gender roles. The discussion examines the complexities of conceptualizing women’s equality and empowerment in Islamic states. The paper reveals that there have been significant achievements in advancing women in leadership and political roles, but that there are still institutional and cultural barriers embedded in business systems. Linking feminist, development and management theoretical strands a development framework is proposed which is sensitive to the Islamic Shar’ia encompassing government, organization and individual level strategies. It is suggested that scholars should integrate literatures from gender and management, development and Middle East studies, and in particular that critical scholars of gender and organization should consider the interrelations of the national and transnational in critiques of contemporary global capitalism to understand the complexity of women and social change in the ME.  相似文献

It explains CEO acumen and offers tools and techniques for women to excel as CEOs. It draws a blueprint for global organizations to build women CEOs. It differentiates between women and men leaders. It emphasizes women can make better leaders than men. It illustrates with inspiring examples of women leaders including Melinda Gates, Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton, Angela Merkel, Indra Nooyi, Ursula Burns, Meg Whitman, and Sheryl Sandberg. It implores women to seize the opportunities to break the glass ceiling to excel as CEOs. It enlightens the society cannot grow when one sex is denied with opportunities. It calls upon men to empathize with women and extend their hands with a big heart to groom them as CEOs. It advocates gender equality globally. It concludes women leaders must express their ambition in the early stage of their careers and work hard consistently and relentlessly with a focus and vision to excel as CEOs globally.  相似文献

This paper proposes a new household panel data approach to study the gender specific effects of exports on labor force participation and household work.We construct a novel measure, the Export Exposure index, by combining information about exports and the respondent's location. The index enables us to address a key identification issue, which is to estimate the effect of exports that is unconfounded by unobserved household characteristics and macroeconomic shocks. We construct a simple model to show that if women have a comparative disadvantage in market work relative to men, and if an increase in exports increases the gender wage gap, Labor force participation of the women would be negatively related to exports. We find that in Indonesia, exports encourage women to substitute their time away from paid labor participation towards unpaid house or family work, but have no statistically significant effect on men, as predicted by our model.  相似文献
