This paper is about the behavior of regional interest rates in the United States from 1880 to 2002. The main concern is with the shocks to regional rates. Where did they originate? How did they diffuse? How did the pattern change over time? We show that in the late nineteenth century the main source of shocks to rates on the periphery were shocks originating on the periphery itself. This pattern continued through World War I and the Great Depression. After World War II, however, the importance of disturbances on the periphery diminished and shocks to rates in the Eastern financial centers became the main source of fluctuations in all regions. 相似文献

The impact of labour market structures on the response of inflation to macroeconomic shocks is analysed empirically. Results based on a 20‐country panel show that if labour market coordination is high, the effect on inflation of movements in unemployment, import prices, tax rates and productivity is dampened, both on impact and dynamically. In contrast, monopoly power in labour supply, measured by the percentage unionisation of the workforce, appears to amplify the response of inflation to its reduced‐form determinants. These findings are attributed to the behaviour of wages following movements in demand‐ and supply‐side conditions. 相似文献

The label "Keynes–Negishi equilibria" is attached here to equilibria in a monetary economy with imperfectly competitive product and labor markets where business firms and labor unions hold demand perceptions with kinks: as posited in Negishi's 1979 book Microeconomic Foundations of Keynesian Macroeconomics . This paper aims to analyze the development of auditing. It is found that auditing has evolved through a number of stages. In the mid 1800s to early 1900s, the audit practice was considered as "traditional conformance role of auditing". However, for the past 30 years, the auditor has been playing an "enhancing role". Today, auditors are expected not only to enhance the credibility of the financial statement, but also to provide value-added services. Nevertheless, following extensive reform in various countries as a result of the collapse of big corporations, it is expected that the role of auditors will converge. It is evident that the paradigm about auditing has shifted over the years and it is likely to continue shifting in the future. 相似文献

本文利用“中国雇主—雇员匹配数据追踪调查(2012)”,采用多变量 Probit 模型考察工会主席专职化对工会维权活动的影响效应。结果发现:工会主席专职化强化了工会在工伤补偿、改善工作环境及改善住宿和伙食等员工福利方面的作用,而在提高员工工资、发加班费及减少解雇等核心维权活动方面的作用并不显著;工会主席专职化对工会维权作用在不同性质的企业有显著差异,在公有制企业主要表现为改善工作环境,而非公有制企业工会主席的专职化对工会维权的推动作用更大,特别是在发放加班费、工伤补偿等方面。 相似文献

农村信用社改革是我国农村金融体制改革的关键。本文认为,应当发挥农村信用合作社信息比较充分、风险相对较低的优势,重塑农村金融体系,建立多种金融机构明确分工、共同竞争、有效满足农民需要的金融服务体系;应当区分不同情况,允许并倡导具有多样性的地区模式,不搞千篇一律、全国统一的农村合作金融模式;政府应保持必要的低限度的介入,通过立法建设来推动合作金融事业的发展,同时发挥行业协会的积极作用。 相似文献

In the current era, governments are playing smaller roles in regulating workers’ rights internationally, and transnational
corporations (TNCs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs) involved in the struggle for workers’ rights, and labour/trade
unions have started to fill this governance gap. This paper focuses on the least researched of the relationships among these
three actors, the union–NGO relationship, by analysing the ways in which it affects definitions of TNC responsibility for
workers’ rights at their suppliers’ factories. Based on a qualitative study of the union–NGO relationship in the Swedish garment
industry between 1996 and 2005, we propose that there are six main configurations of union–NGO relationships. By linking these
configurations to their effects on TNC responsibility, we propose that co-ordination relationships between unions and NGOs, particularly high-commitment co-ordination relationships, are likely to result in a broadening of the definition of TNC responsibility, while conflictual relationships, both high and low commitment, result in a narrowing of the definition of TNC responsibility. The study indicates that co-operation is generally more beneficial
for both unions and NGOs than is any form of conflictual relationship, in terms of broadening the definition of TNC responsibility. 相似文献

本文认为,近年来我国农民工工资拖欠问题日益严重,已成为影响劳动关系和谐发展乃至社会稳定的重要因素。当前解决农民工工资拖欠问题的模式主要有两大类,即行政机关采取行政手段的讨薪模式和劳动仲裁委员会及司法机关采取劳动仲裁和法律诉讼手段的讨薪模式,这些模式都存在一定的缺陷。考虑到工会在解决农民工工资拖欠问题方面的优势,应完成工会从行政化向市场化的转型,创新工会工作方式,赋予工会运用有利于开展工作的法律手段的权力,通过工会加强和提高农民工自身力量,从而形成解决农民工工资拖欠问题的长效机制。 相似文献
