WAVES GENERATED BY A SUBMERGED BODY MOVING IN STRATIFIED FLUIDS AND VERTICAL STRUCTURES OF INTERNAL WAVES

This dissertation deals with the internal waves generated by a submerged moving body in stratified fluids by combining theoretical and experimental methods. Our purpose is to provide some scientific evidences for non-acoustic detection of underwater moving bodies based on the principles of dynamics of the internal waves. An approach to velocity potentials obtained by superposing Green‘s functions of sources and sinks was proposed for Kelvin waves at the free surface or interface in a two-layer fluid. The effects of interacting surface and internal wave modes induced by a dipole on the surface divergence field were investigated. A new theoretical model formulating the interaction of a two dimensional submerged moving body with the conjugate flow in a three-layer fluid was established. An exact solution satisfying the two dimensional Benjamin Ono equation was obtained and the vertically propagating properties of the weakly nonlinear long waves were studied hy means of the ray theory and WKB method. The above theoretical results are qualitatively consistent with those obtained in the experiments conducted by the author.     

HYDRODYNAMIC BEHAVIOR OF FPSO UNDER VARIUS LOADING IN SURVIVAL STORMS IN SHALLOW WATER

The motion performance and clearance between the hull and seabed of a FPSO (Floating, Production, Storage and Offloading units) in survival storm conditions are closely related to its safety during the operation in shallow water. As an example the behavior of a 160 kDWT FPSO with single point mooring system in shallow water was investigated in this paper. Calculation for the FPSO is made based on the 3-D linear potential flow theory and time-domain numerical simulation method and corresponding model test is carried out in the wave basin at Shanghai Jiaotong University. Both the calculated and experimental results indicate that the heave, roll and pitch motions of FPSO become lazy with the increase of the draft. And the fully loaded FPSO in survival storm touched seabed few times. Therefore, it is concluded that the FPSO should be less loaded than that in the fully loaded condition when the survival storm is coming.

基于激光目标指示的红外扩束光学系统设计

介绍了激光扩束光学系统的工作原理,给出了主、次镜的焦距比及扩束系统的准直倍率公式。选用无焦卡塞格林系统,应用非球面,针对目标指示器用的氟化氘激光器,设计了红外10倍扩束光学系统,给出了系统设计参数、非球面的方程和主、次镜的调制传递函数。设计结果满足准直扩束要求。
