MONETARY TRANSMISSION MECHANISM IN CENTRAL AND EASTERN EUROPE: SURVEYING THE SURVEYABLE

Abstract.  This paper surveys recent advances in empirical studies of the monetary transmission mechanism, with special attention to Central and Eastern Europe (CEE). Our results indicate that the strength of the exchange rate pass-through substantially declined over time mainly due to a fall in inflation rates and to some extent due to the so-called composition effect. The asset price channel is weak and is likely to remain weak because of shallow stock and private bond markets and because of low stock and bond holdings of domestic households. House prices may become an exception with booming mortgage lending and with high owner occupancy ratios. While the credit channel could be a powerful channel of monetary transmission – as new funds raised on capital markets are close to zero in CEE – it is actually not, as both commercial banks and non-financial corporations can escape domestic monetary conditions by borrowing from their foreign mother companies. The moderately good news, however, is that those banks and firms are influenced by monetary policy in the euro area because their parent institutions are themselves subjected to the credit channel in the euro area.     

Sustainable Transport,Market Segmentation and Tourism: The Looe Valley Branch Line Railway,Cornwall, UK

This paper uses cluster analysis, a form of a posteriori market segmentation, to understand the attitudes of tourists and the local community towards using the Looe Valley Branch Railway Line. The research revealed five segments of users distinguished by their attitudes towards using the train. Following this, the paper discusses the implications of the survey findings for attracting more people to use the Looe Valley Line. It sets its findings in the context of the sustainable tourism aims of reducing transport congestion and emissions, as well as recent work on assessing the scope for sustainable transport development in the leisure and tourism markets.     

中国邮轮旅游产业:研究现状与展望

邮轮产业已经成为现代旅游业中发展最为迅猛的行业,近几年达到8％左右的增长速度,被视为“漂浮在黄金水道上的黄金产业”.然而,邮轮业并没有引起学术界的足够关注,研究成果还非常有限.近年来国际邮轮市场的倾斜,使得中国邮轮旅游业发展势头强劲,已成为中国经济增长的新方式和新领域.文章基于国内现有的文献资料,对中国邮轮旅游产业的研究问题和研究成果进行了综述.首先介绍了世界邮轮业的概况和中国邮轮业的发展现状;其次从宏观审视和微观分析的角度讨论了中国学者对邮轮旅游业的研究成果;最后针对中国邮轮产业的问题,从产业集聚视角、利益相关者视角和消费者视角提出了未来值得研究的方向.     

基于本底线的不同性质旅游危机事件影响比对研究——以中国4次旅游危机事件为例

我国现代旅游业在发展历程中曾经历过4次大的旅游危机,分别是1989年的"6·4"风波、1997年的亚洲金融危机、1998年特大洪水和2003年的SARS疫情等.由于4次事件的性质不同,并且发生在我国旅游业不同的发展阶段,其对旅游的影响存在着一定的差异.差异主要表现在危机所造成的旅游损失程度不同、旅游危机影响的生命周期不同、危机后旅游补偿性恢复的反弹力不同等方面.     

中国自然保护地体系建设——红线管控、旅游发展与文化表征

建立以国家公园为主体的自然保护地体系,是贯彻习近平生态文明思想的重大举措,是党的十九大提出的重大改革任务。有效协调自然保护地保护与开发的功能定位是实现“生态保护、绿色发展、改善民生”三效合一目标的难点与重点。本文围绕如何有效发挥自然保护地生态系统服务功能这一问题框架,系统分析中国自然保护地在生态保护红线划定、旅游发展与文化要素表征3个方面存在的问题与障碍因素,通过政策梳理、学理辨析、国内外对比等研究方法提出以上三方面问题的破题策略。本文认为要建设与国际接轨、具有中国特色的自然保护地体系,需要运用“可接受的改变极限”思想开展红线划定与管控,因地制策、因时制宜、持续监测;需要加大游憩机会谱的研究及应用实践,实现生态保护与旅游发展相得益彰;需要重视自然保护地内文化景观的提炼识别及其表征、传播,重视国家公园文化认同意义表达。     

输电钢管杆稳定性分析的阶梯折算法

应用一维非均质体结构的阶梯折算法理论,建立了输电钢管杆的数值分析模型,推导了钢管杆的整体稳定计算方法,算法运用计算机易于实现,解决了荷载和刚度沿杆体变化的复杂杆结构整体稳定二阶计算问题,在电网工程建设和设计中有较好的实用价值。     

油气输送钢管制造企业质量成本管理理论与应用

目前,随着石油天然气需求量的增加,对油气输送铜管质量的要求也越来越高,为此,企业必须为社会提供与之相适应的质量高、价格廉、适销对路的产品和服务,以获得企业自身更多的赢利。因此,作为会计核算的重要组成部分,成本就成为企业关注的焦点,而质量成本作为企业成本的一部分,对现代企业的经营发展起着极其重要的作用,为此,研究与探讨油气输送钢管制造企业质量成本控制的措施和效果等就有非常重要的意义。     

Poverty Orderings

This paper reviews the literature of partial poverty orderings. Partial poverty orderings require unanimous poverty rankings for a class of poverty measures or a set of poverty lines. The need to consider multiple poverty measures and multiple poverty lines arises inevitably from the arbitrariness inherent in poverty comparisons. In the paper, we first survey the ordering conditions of various individual poverty measures for a range of poverty lines; for some measures necessary and sufficient conditions are identified while for others only some easily verifiable sufficient conditions are established. These ordering conditions are shown to have a close link with the stochastic dominance relations which are based on the comparisons of cumulative distribution functions. We then survey the ordering conditions for various classes of poverty measures with a single or a set of poverty lines; in all cases necessary and sufficient conditions are established. These conditions again rely on the stochastic dominance relations or their transformations. We also extend the relationship between poverty orderings and stochastic dominance to higher orders and explore the possibility and the conditions of increasing the power of poverty orderings beyond the second degree dominance condition.     

通货膨胀与人民币升值悖论

对通货膨胀与人民币升值"悖论"的解释分为两个方面:导致通货膨胀不能"替代"人民币升值的原因是人民币升值预期的持续性和稳定性;导致人民币升值不能"替代"通货膨胀的原因是人民币汇率升值与通货膨胀传导机制失效,本轮通货膨胀主要是受食品价格上涨拉动的结构型通货膨胀,而非输入性通货膨胀,以及物价上涨的原因的多样性。
