Resourcing War While Containing Inflation: Debate among Australia's Second World War Economists

Early in the Second World War, Australian Government economists, including Financial and Economic Committee members, agreed that taxation was central to shifting resources from consumption to war spending and containing inflation. As Australia's war effort expanded in 1941–42, all advisers accepted the need for more economic controls. Differences emerged about the desired extent of controls. Some saw controls, including rationing and price stabilisation, as an alternative to higher taxation. In these debates and in policy determination, Keynes' views were influential, as to some extent were those of Kalecki and Balogh. Other influences included the policies of Australia's allies.

中国电子商务经过十余年的发展已经逐步走向成熟,在各种商业模式中以B2 C模式发展最为迅猛。对近几年国内外B2 C电子商务服务质量评价研究现状进行整理,综合分析了现有的电子商务服务质量评价影响因素和模型,为今后的研究以及开展B2 C电子商务的企业评价和提高服务质量提供理论依据,指出了目前研究存在的问题,为B2 C电子商务企业提高服务质量提供建议和参考。     

Siamese Twin Troubles: Structural and Regulatory Transformations in Unequal Thailand

This paper takes an institutional approach to inequality in Thailand by exploring the country's structural and regulatory transformations. It discusses how Thailand's transition from agriculture to industry and services has been impeded by both the demand and supply sides of government subsidies since the 1950s. The relative failure of structural transformation has slowed down economic catch-up and widened the well-being gap between those inside and outside the agricultural sector. Furthermore, while regulatory transformation has mitigated state-led malaise in certain Asian economies, post-1997 reform in Thailand has incentivized unconventional political actors, such as academics, medical doctors and civil society leaders, to make collective efforts in toppling elected governments in exchange for gaining selection into oversight agencies. The case of Thailand indicates how regulatory reform may create perverse incentives that adversely affect democratization, decentralization, competition, and taxation. Dealing with inequality therefore requires a big push toward progressive structural and regulatory transformations altogether.

基于Cortex-M3的远程大功率LED温度测控系统设计

针对大功率LED使用过程中存在的散热问题以及传统解决方法的缺陷，提出并设计实现了一种基于32位ARM Cortex- M3内核控制器的温度测控方案。该方案充分利用了主控器丰富的集成功能，采用按键和监控界面预设不同散热功率LED的正常工作温度范围，LCD和终端监控可以实时掌握当前系统的工作状态，并且根据当前状态和预设状态之间的比较，调整PWM输出控制制冷模块。系统通过主控器的UART0和以太网MAC设计通信接口，实现了对LED温度的本地和远程两种自动监控方式。实际证明，本系统功能丰富，运行有效、可靠。

The collection of legislative actions proposed and negotiated by Johnson included many different programs. The goals, objectives and implementation strategies were not clearly defined. Over the past thirty years, the success and/or failure of these programs has been discussed with no consensus emerging. The historical record of expenditures both as a percentage of GDP and as a percentage of federal outlays, however, reveals a lasting impact of the “Great Society” legislation.
