The improvement of data statistics as well as the econometrician methods have facilitated the introduction the new variables
and factors I the economic growth analysis. In this sense, real variables have mainly been considered in the economic growth
studies, but not financial or risk management aspects. In this sense, it is interesting to analyze the relationship between
economic growth and value at risk and the feed-back process. The goal of the paper is to analyze the relationship between
economic growth and risk management and the feed-back process. We will consider economic variables, including economic growth,
rule of law, human capital, fiscal policy and monetary policy, among others, in our analysis. We will analyze the theoretical
relationships between these variables and risk and the effects of risk on economic growth. We will also develop an empirical
analysis considering the case of 15 European Union countries.

Policy makers have traditionally considered the macroeconomic relations and the variables that can affect the economic objectives that they pursue, such as prices, employment, balance of payments, and economic growth. Recently, microeconomic behavior has also been considered. To complete the analysis, it is necessary to include those variables that define the firm's evolution and activities, and cash flow could be this kind of variable to be included in the analysis. The main objective of this paper is to show the relationship between cash flow and one of the final economic policy targets, economic growth. This paper considers the relationship between cash flow and applied economics, then develops the effects of cash flow on economic growth. 相似文献

Traditional economic growth literature focuses mainly on the neoclassical approach. According to this view, firms try to maximize
their benefits so that there is no place for non-profit organizations (NPOs). However, the activity of NPOs has a higher relevance
in society, and it is necessary to analyze its effects on economic growth. These effects are not direct, but occur through
other variables that directly promote economic growth, such as entrepreneurship activity and human capital, and through the
improvement of education. We engage in an empirical analysis of these issues using data from 11 countries. 相似文献

The main goal of this paper is to show that organizations and institutions play a relevant role in the economic growth process,
both directly and indirectly. Human capital plays a direct role by facilitating the introduction and use of new technologies.
A more indirect role is play by entrepreneurial activity in three ways: 1) supplying monetary funds; 2) creating an adequate
social climate and 3) encouraging trust in the society. The hypotheses introduced are tested using the data on eleven countries. 相似文献

The aim of the present study is to merge two strands of research that have evolved in tandem (a) the consequences of numeracy; and (b) the effect of information load on the consumer decision-making process. The study analyses the interaction effect between these two factors on decision accuracy and on a set of cognitive and affective variables of the decision-making process (namely, confusion, calibration, and emotion). We measured participants' numeracy and used an experimental design to manipulate the information load. The results showed that the effect of numeracy on decision accuracy was entirely mediated by cognitive and affective processes involved in decision-making. In particular, numeracy was found to have a negative relationship with the level of confusion, calibration, and emotions experienced during the decision-making process. The results also showed that information load interacted with numeracy, such that individuals with high numeracy maintained lower levels of emotion when placed under conditions of low information load. However, under these same conditions, individuals with low numeracy maintained positive emotions. The findings help to identify approaches that can contribute to reducing the negative effects of low numeracy among consumers, in a context where the online channel predominates (the tourism sector). 相似文献

In this paper we study the optimal policy in the Uzawa–Lucas model with externality in human capital when agents value both consumption and leisure. We find that the government pursuing the first best can achieve its goal by a subsidy which depends on foregone earnings while studying and which is financed through a lump sum tax. Anyway, the optimal policy, that should be designed to provide incentives for agents to devote more time to schooling and cut both on leisure and working, is not unique. There exists an infinite number of combinations of consumption, capital income, labor income and lump sum taxes that can decentralize the first best. 相似文献

Different variables have been considered growth enhancing. Traditionally, physical capital, human capital, and public capital
have been considered. While the first two variables have been considered positive factors, the latter shows an ambiguous effect.
The literature has also considered the role of exports in the economic growth process, introducing several arguments that
test the hypothesis that exports are growth enhancing. One argument to be considered is that higher exports can increase total
factor productivity due to returns to scale and that exports are an effective means to introduce advanced technology. To test
this argument, an empirical analysis considered three possibilities, an export model, a demand model, and a mixed model that
combined both. This empirical analysis was carried out for the various Spanish regions. 相似文献

Nonprofit organizations (NPOs) play a relevant role in society by attempting to satisfy human necessities in a different way,
or as a complement to lucrative firms and governmental activity. In this sense, they are active in different areas, and several
analyses have been developed to study the effects and the behavior of these organizations in such fields, as is shown in the
articles included in this special issue. The main goal of this paper is to show the main aspects analyzed in those papers. 相似文献
