辣木树不同部位γ-氨基丁酸的HPLC分析

用高效液相色谱法检测了辣木树不同部位γ-氨基丁酸的含量,结果表明:每100 g样品中,辣木果实、叶、果皮、花、根、籽及茎中的GABA含量分别为378.39、275.64、194.15、96.42、69.14、27.32 mg与0.00 mg。由此可见,辣木树中富含GABA,且幼嫩部位含量较高,本研究可为辣木产品的质量评价、开发利用以及辣木树中GABA的合成部位与运输情况研究提供理论参考。     

Developing country fisheries and technical efficiency: the Java Sea purse seine fishery

The analysis of technical efficiency in developing country agriculture is well established but has been overlooked for developing country commercial marine fisheries. Policies raising technical efficiency in agriculture are viewed as uniformly positive but are a mixed blessing in fisheries due to the open-access property right and common-pool resource. This study explores this contradiction and policies aimed to promote sustainable development and management of renewable common pool resources through a case study of the Java Sea purse seine fishery. Season of the year rather than fisher or vessel characteristics primarily determines technical efficiency. The results are contrasted with developing country agriculture and conclusions drawn for fisheries development strategies.     

Political elites and hometown favoritism in famine-stricken China

China's Great Leap Famine has remained to this day the severest in human history, and yet few studies have invoked the human factor in explaining its outcome. In sharp contrast to Mao's aggressive extractive policy against the peasantry, the 181 Central Committee (CC) members—the political elite of the Chinese Communist Party—may have alleviated the casualty of this most devastating famine, by arranging more “resale grain” to be shipped to their hometowns. Specifically, having an additional native CC member in a prefecture reduces the excess death of that prefecture by 46,500, accounting for 2.3 percentage points in the death rate when evaluated at the mean. The effect is more pronounced if a CC member worked in the central planning apparatus in charge of grain transfer. Moreover, evidence suggests that the counties with more CC members tended to receive more resale grain, while grain procurement remained affected.     

基于微观环保制度的农村内源性环境风险管理

内源性环境风险的长效管理既是村民环境诉求点又是农村环境风险管理的薄弱点.文章分析了自上而下的环境保护制度在农村环境风险管理中的局限性和微观环保制度的可行性.以S村为例,基于长期存续的公共资源治理制度的设计原则,评价了S村垃圾管理微观制度的供给与实施状况,分析了它在风险源风险性管理和受体脆弱性管理中的有效性,提出了以微观环保制度作为农村内源性环境风险管理长效机制的建议.     

The Indonesian tourism industry under crisis: a Bourdieuan perspective on social boundaries among small-scale business owners

Abstract

This study investigates how small-scale business owners in the Indonesian tourism industry seek to overcome the consequences of multiple crises, over a 10-year period. Taking a Bourdieuan perspective, the authors emphasize the context-dependency and quality differences of various forms of capital, and explain how these differences are manifested in boundary work aimed at overcoming major adversity. It is argued that social, economic and cultural capital contributes differently to small-scale business owners’ resilience, either spanning or setting developmental boundaries. This furthers understanding of how small-scale business owners cope with social boundaries and generate innovative opportunities for the development in the aftermath of crises.
