This study employs Danish data to examine the empirical relationship between the proportion of managerial ownership and two characteristics of accounting earnings: the information content of earnings and the magnitude of discretionary accruals. In previous research concerning American firms, Warfield et al. (1995) document a positive relationship between managerial ownership and the information content of earnings, and a negative relationship between managerial ownership and discretionary accruals. We question the generality of the Warfield et al. result, as the ownership structure found in most other countries, including Denmark, deviates from the US ownership configuration. The intrinsic value approach amortizes over the life of the option, the difference between the stock price on the date of the grant and the exercise price of the option. The fair market value approach amortizes over the life of the option, the market value of stock options on the date of the grant. These approaches do not reflect the changes in the option–based compensation cost after the grant date. This paper proposes an economic cost approach that not only adjusts for the changes in the value of the options during its life but also records the issuance of the stock at fair market value on the exercise date. 相似文献

本文以2003-2004年我国上市公司的股权结构、资产状况、现金收入与发展前景等方面的数据,采用理论分析、描述性统计与多元回归假设检验等方法,分析了我国上市公司两权分离度的影响因素。结果发现:上市公司终极控制人两权分离度的大小主要取决于上市公司的企业规模、企业资产可控性、现金流状况、企业发展前景、第一大股东持股比例、终极控制人控制层级与股权性质。 相似文献

本文利用中国工业企业微观数据,以新产品销售收入占销售总收入的比值来衡量创新效率,基于“拟自然实验”理论框架,并采用倾向得分匹配法(PSM),研究国有企业混合所有制改革对企业创新效率的影响。研究结果显示:混合所有制改革能显著提升企业的创新效率。此外,与其他所有制企业相比较而言,国有企业混合所有制改革后的创新效率要高于外资企业、民营企业和港澳台企业。本文为评价国有企业混合所有制改革的创新绩效提供了微观层面的有力证据,也为推动国有企业混合所有制改革提供了一定的政策含义。 相似文献

商业信用的获取和供给受到企业间信息不对称的制约,而会计信息披露则有助于监督企业运营和缓解信息不对称。本文利用未解释审计费用衡量会计信息质量,探讨了中国上市企业的会计信息质量对商业信用获取和供给的影响效应,并分析此影响效应在不同企业性质、市场地位及政府干预下的差异性。实证研究表明,高质量的会计信息能直接促进企业获取商业信用,并通过外源融资间接增加商业信用的供给,此现象在国有企业中表现得尤为明显。同时,市场优势地位能够增强高质量会计信息的国有企业对商业信用的边际获取能力。此外,地方政府的干预也能改善高质量会计信息的国有企业对商业信用和外源融资的边际获取能力,但减弱了其对商业信用的边际供给能力。 相似文献

One of the key roles of a destination marketing organization (DMO) is to portray their destination in such a way that it is both appealing and inviting to their existing and potential tourism market. A challenge faced by a DMO in the regional Victorian destination of Gippsland in Australia, is the fact that they also have to manage unanticipated sudden changes in market perceptions that may occur in response to a disastrous event. The reoccurring natural disasters of this region (fires, floods and drought)—the most recent being the 2009 Black Saturday bushfires, deemed Australia's worst natural disaster in history—make it imperative that DMOs can respond effectively. This article presents the findings of an exploratory research project designed to investigate the tourism market's response to this particular disastrous event. The primary aim of the research was to better understand how a large-scale disaster impacts upon the tourist's destination image and visitation intentions, and the role of the media in these deliberations. Focus group research reveals the post-disaster media interpretations, images, and visitation intentions of intrastate and interstate, regional and metropolitan tourists. Differences are observed in relation to the participants' geographic location and distance from the fires and their understandings of the event, including their reflections on media coverage. Varying perceptions among the participants of the impact of the fires, the travel risk, and subsequent travel intentions are discussed. Managerial implications relating to media management and the refinement of future disaster management strategies are also presented. 相似文献

The digitalization of the newspaper industry represents a significant challenge for incumbent companies to engage new technologies. Many companies in the industry have had to seek new markets through digital technologies to survive. This paper explores how one of the largest Swedish newspapers, Aftonbladet, has strategically embraced new media and new markets. We report a decade of engaged scholarship based on interviews and archival analysis that covers 20 years of strategic acts at the company. We consider this effort as a case of organizational ambidexterity under digitalization. The analysis seeks to extend theoretical understanding of the interrelationships between strategic intent and technological choice. The paper contributes to the understanding of ambidexterity under digitalization by theoretically framing it in terms of strategic acts. The research suggests that digitalization implies a more complex ambidexterity interrelationship between old and new markets and technologies. As digitalization enables the loosening of previously tight couplings, the clear theoretical distinction between old and new, and critically, the unproblematic transition, is brought into question. The paper suggests replacing the notion of an orderly shift from the old to the new with ambidexterity under digitalization as a duality of both old and new undergoing continual reconfiguration. 相似文献

Purpose: Backpacker tourism is flourishing in this century as the high development of Internet technology which enables travellers to search for resources they need easier. The research goal of this study was to exam how virtual skill and collective efficacy affect process innovation capability and subsequent team performance of collaborative design team in a virtual community. Design/methodology/approach: In this study, we formulated the virtual team model from the perspectives of open innovation paradigm and virtual competence, and we collected virtual community participation samples from the online communities. Invitation emails were delivered to numerous trip plan initiators in two well-known online travel communities for filling survey questionnaires for this study. In total, 3000 invitation messages were mailed, of which 373 were returned completed. The model and hypotheses were tested by structural equation modelling. Findings: Virtual competence, including collective efficacy and virtual media skill, is the essential key to facilitate process innovation capability and subsequent team performance success. Besides, knowledge sharing significantly moderates the relationship between process innovation capability and the team performance. Originality/value: Backpackers in the online travel communities have to have not only the willingness to collaborate, but also the abilities of using the correct tool to help with their tasks. When a self-efficacy gets into collective efficacy, it enables the collaborative team to develop with good virtual competencies. Accordingly, trip plan initiator and participants of a virtual team are as expertise contributors between conformity in online communities and online compulsive control tendencies. 相似文献
