Software for Learning and for Doing Statistics

The community of statisticians and statistics educators should take responsibility for the evaluation and improvement of software quality from the perspective of education. The paper will develop a perspective, an ideal system of requirements to critically evaluate existing software and to produce future software more adequate both for learning and doing statistics in introductory courses. Different kinds of tools and microworlds are needed. After discussing general requirements for such programs, a prototypical ideal software system will be presented in detail. It will be illustrated how such a system could be used to construct learning environments and to support elementary data analysis with exploratory working style.

高新技术产业项目的绩效管理——基于软件项目管理的实证研究

针对高新技术产业广泛采用项目驱动的管理模式,在理论分析和实地调查的基础上,实证研究了客户、项目经理和激励制度对项目业绩的影响。结果发现客户对定制化需求大,但对标准化软件却有更高的边际利润;政府机构是大客户,但其垄断地位,所带来的销售利润率和项目交付率并不高;地域商务环境影响交易成本,进而显著地影响了项目的业绩水平;项目业绩受项目经理激励程度和方式的影响,但与项目经理认知特征无显著关系。这些结论说明软件企业在制定战略时,需以定制产品和定制服务为起点,但最终必须研发成为具有行业特点的标准化应用软件;在资源分配时,应重点关注地域商务环境好的客户,适当提高非政府机构行业客户的资源分配比例;应健全项目经理激励制度,促使项目提前完工,从而降低开发成本,增加项目业绩。     

一种锂电池检测分选系统中的数据通信

基于目前锂电池人工检测分选的状况，开发出锂电池的自动检测分选系统及相应数据通信软件，实现了锂电池分选的可视化、自动化控制，提高了分选效率。该系统具有一定的工程实用价值。     

软件产品价格形成机理的经济学求解--基于广义价格理论视角

软件产品是具有公共性、外部性和网络性等特征的"混合品",其经济性质与物质产品有较大差异,传统价格机制理论无法合理解释其成本价值与使用价值以至其价格的形成。必须引入新的价值评价指标,对软件产品的成本价值与使用价值进行新求解,把广义价格机制理论的产权契约均衡价格决定论与成本价值和使用价值边际均衡论结合起来,从"谈判力"均衡角度研究软件产品价格形成机理。     

CMM模型和我国软件业生产过程标准化

CMM模型是国际上最流行的一种软件生产过程标准。本文比较了国内外软件业生产过程标准化的现状,分析了阻碍我国软件业开展CMM评估的原因,并在此基础上,提出在我国推行CMM标准亟待解决的几个主要问题。     

An analysis of the process generating de facto standards in the PC spreadsheet software market

This paper develops a model to analyze the emergence of de facto or market defined compatibility standards in the market for PC spreadsheet software over the period 1982–1988. The model is capable of integrating diverse fragments of empirical evidence and a number of important theoretical building blocks, in particular the analysis of gateways between different versions of the same package, product preannouncements, and diverse consumer tastes towards intrinsic quality and network externalities. The model also explores the implications of different functional forms for the relationship between installed base and the value of network externalities. The paper finds that at least some enhancements to the basic model of standards have to be incorporated to offer a reasonable approximation to developments in the PC spreadsheet software market. The simplest model of de facto standards is not able to describe developments in this market.     

Collaboration, peer review and open source software

Open source software development may be superior to proprietary development because the open source organizational form naturally minimizes transactions costs associated with privately distributed information. This manifests itself in the ability of open source communities to encourage critical peer review and the sharing of ideas. When these activities are important, the open source organizational form may do better than a proprietary organizational form. My results suggest why open source is particularly powerful when maintainability of software is critical, and also suggest that the founder of a software project may be more likely to choose open source if there is an existing dominant proprietary software project.
