论男性在反性骚扰立法中的保护

性骚扰的受害者以女性居多,人们的关注及立法的保护更多地倾向于女性.但不容忽视的是,在性骚扰的侵害对象上,男性受害者越来越多.反性骚扰立法保护的天平不能只向女性的一侧倾斜,可以借鉴国外性骚扰立法模式,探讨、补充对我国男性合法权益的保护.     

Modelling the propagation of adult male muscle dysmorphia in Spain: economic,emotional and social drivers

Males aged over 40 do more gym practice to improve their body image as a way of reinforcing their personal self-esteem and sexual appeal. Cases when self-image becomes an obsession may result in a body dysmorphic disorder named ‘muscle dysmorphia’ (MD). The combination of psychological, environmental and biological drivers determines the appearance and development of this disorder. In this article, we developed a discrete population mathematical model to forecast the rate of prevalence of males who are noncompetitive bodybuilders at risk of suffering MD in Spain in forthcoming years. Economic, emotional, sociological and psychological motivations were taken into account to quantify the dynamic behaviour of Spanish noncompetitive bodybuilders. The impact of the unemployment is reflected in the construction of two coefficients, α_u and α₂₁, which explain subpopulation transits due to the economy. Sociological influences, such as human herding and social propagation, were also considered. Our results predict an increase in Spanish noncompetitive bodybuilders suffering MD from 1% in 2011 to around 11% in 2015. Our model can be applied to any other western country where data are available and to another study period when the hypotheses are applicable.     

Excuses,Excuses: Rationalisations of Western Sex Tourists in Thailand

This paper focuses upon the behaviour of heterosexual Western male sex tourists in Thailand. It is based on a review of the sex tourism literature and attempts to analyse the rationalisations that are constructed by these men in order to assuage feelings of guilt that are often felt from participating in Third World sex tourism. Therefore, these rationalisations potentially serve to allow for the continued patronage of Western men in commercial sex in less developed nations and thus perpetuate the sex tourism industry as a whole.     

From Libertinism to Marital Commitment: The Economics of Marital Search with Heterogeneous Agents

Synopsis The actual characteristics and desires of candidates or marriage cannot be clearly identified without careful examination (Anderson & Hamori 2000). Accordingly, the classified advertisement system looks like a market or lemons (Akerlof 1970), which sharply contrasts with the matchmaking agency system. The continued existence of classified advertisement system just proves it furthers the goals of certain singles—namely, libertine females and libertine males. The present paper uses two databases: the first database consists of a sample of personal advertisements extracted from a specialized publication; the second database is the customer file of a matchmaking agency. This paper predicts which variables will determine the commitment level desired by individuals and why matchmaking agencies customers are more sincere than advertisers.     

Assessing the patronage behaviour of the retired male: a comparison with chronological age

Although age 65 has traditionally been used to delineate the onset of old age, there are serious problems with the ability of chronological age to predict retail-related behaviour. Retirement is suggested as an alternative indicator that not only offers reliability but also provides theoretical support. A survey was mailed to 1,000 males asking a number of patronage-related questions identified in the retail literature. Analysis of covariance allowed comparison of the predictive capability of retirement versus chronological age, controlling for income, marital status, and health. The results suggest that retirement is a better predictor in respect to a number of patronage behaviours. Managerial implications are discussed.     

婚姻对男性死亡风险的影响——立足于对清代辽东旗人社会的考察

利用中国多世代人口数据库——辽宁部分(CMGPD-LN),运用离散时间事件史分析技术和logit模型,研究了1749-1909年清代辽东旗人社会中男性的婚姻与死亡水平、死亡风险的关系。婚姻对于男性具有保护作用,在婚男性的死亡风险要低于不在婚男性;logit模型结果表明,未婚和丧偶男性的死亡风险要显著高于初婚男性,中青年未婚男性的死亡风险高于初婚男性,而老年未婚男性的死亡风险比初婚男性低。     

我国男子中长跑的现状分析及对策研究

本文运用文献资料法、比较法、数理统计法等研究方法对1998—2008年每年国内外男子中长跑最好成绩进行了统计处理,从成绩差、训练、观念、等多方面,对我国男子中长跑发展的现状进行了调查分析,从而为我国运动员赶超世界水平提供建议。
