1851年爆发的太平天国农民运动,是中国历史上最后一次大规模农民起义.虽然这次起义最终失败了,但它沉重打击了清王朝和外国侵略者,促进了近代中国的发展.如果说天京事变是太平天国由盛到衰的转折点,那么安庆争夺战的失利则是太平天国最终走向失败的标志.     

韩贞与李春芳之交谊考

韩贞是泰州学派平民弟子,以制陶为业,李春芳是中国历史上为数不多的状元宰相,两人早年曾一同求学于王艮。他们两人不仅感情很深,而且经常一起探讨一些学术问题。李春芳为官清廉,关心民苦,以及后来辞官归隐,都受了韩贞一定的影响;韩贞坚持在乡村以教化民,普做善事也受到了李春芳的鼓舞与支持。     

Competitive Tendering and Contracting in the Public Sector: A Survey

This paper is a survey of the role and impact of competitive tendering and contracting (CTC) policies in the public sector. The paper examines the theoretical rationale for introducing competition in the provision of public services and the methodology by which contracting decisions are reached. It investigates the extent of implementation and nature of outcomes in several countries. A broad sweep of the empirical findings suggests that CTC generates substantial cost savings. Lack of adequate data makes an assessment of the effect on quality more troublesome, and further research is needed

中国学生在习得英语句式中的母语迁移

本文以母语迁移理论为依据,以调查问卷的形式探索以汉语为母语的中国学生在习得英语句式中母语的影响。调查研究结果表明,汉语的句法结构在中国学生习得英语句式的过程中既有正迁移也有负迁移,研究结果对提高英语教学尤其英语句式教学有一定的参考意义。     

The impact of seed industry concentration on innovation: a study of US biotech market leaders

Agricultural research drives increases in agricultural productivity, and the number of private agricultural input firms has been declining. The empirical relationship between the number of firms doing applied biotechnology crop research and the amount of research output they produce is investigated in a research profit function model. Increases in seed industry concentration have reduced biotech research intensity in the United States in the 1990s. Concentration and research are simultaneously determined and are influenced by the appropriability of research results and the state of technological opportunity.     

Innovation Dynamics And Endogenous Adjustment In The Telecommunications Industry

Patterned innovation dynamics - investment-mix shifts and inter-organizational alliances -are examined for their roles in facilitating accelelating technical advance in the telecom industry since the mid-1970s. While internal investment shifts favoring R&D and declining rates of capital recovery were ubiquitous across the period, this was especially so for telecom equipment suppliers. Comparative analyses suggest that such innovation investment strategies have been of less benefit to telecom firms than to producers in nearly any other major manufacturing sector. Trends in organizational innovation in the form of alliance fonnation are also reported. The challenges these innovation dynamics pose for neoclassical models are discussed.

This paper uses the comparative statics method of testing for a monopoly equilibrium to track the competitiveness of the US cigarette industry between 1955 and 1990. The degree of competition ranged from somewhat less than a Coumot–Nash equilibrium would imply to somewhat more. Although the industry's behavior was highly autocorrelated, there were periodic reversions to behavior that was much more competitive than the trend
