生态环境保护下的国际贸易的高质量发展研究

自由贸易和贸易保护的不同历史阶段都呈现出对生态环境的影响。生态环境建设的不同阶段也都有贸易的身影。全球化带来的贸易自由化浪潮加剧了生态环境的恶化,因此,走高质量发展的贸易之路是促使国际贸易与生态环境和谐发展的必然选择。发展中国家只有通过增强技术创新、提升企业管理水平等手段增强贸易竞争力,并致力于参与国际规则的制定才能避免生态殖民带来的不良后果。     

后殖民主义与翻译对中国的文化渗透

根据当下的后殖民主义理论研究,强势文化往往通过翻译达到输出文化霸权,实现殖民的目的。该文首先从历史的维度阐述后殖民主义研究在中国的适用性,然后进一步论证后殖民主义时代帝国主义霸权通过翻译对中国的文化渗透。     

Jules Dupuit,Société d'économie politique de Paris and the issue of population in France (1850 – 66) ∗

Abstract

The tradition that views Dupuit only as a brilliant engineer-economist who trained at the École nationale des Ponts et Chaussées remained strong in the fifty years that followed World War II. Within this tradition, research on Dupuit mostly was focused on his publications on surplus theory, road tolls and discriminating monopoly. His participation in the debates about other issues taking place within the various learned societies to which he belonged (Société d'économie politique de Paris, Société d'économie sociale, Société de statistique de Paris) long remained unexplored. But recent research has begun filling the gap. This paper follows on these latter research efforts. It aims at uncovering a largely unknown facet of Dupuit, endeavouring to fully elicit his role in the various controversies that took place in France between 1850 and 1866 on the issues of population and the Malthusian principle of population.     

Colonization and the Rule of Law: Comparing the Effectiveness of Common Law and Civil Law Countries

The rule of law is one of the most important components of any explanation of cross-national differences in economic well-being. But what leads to better rule of law in a country? Using an institutional approach this paper probes the effect of legal systems in influencing the rule of law. There has long been speculation that the countries adopting English common law are better at providing legal dispute resolution than those adopting the continental forms of civil law. That speculative assessment is found to be true only in those countries that have been colonized, further analysis demonstrates that it is the effectiveness of the protection of property rights in common law systems rather than the institutions themselves that influence rule of law statistics. The paper calls for a more refined examination of legal systems which takes into consideration whether law is organically developed or transplanted.

华俄道胜银行作为政治与金融的混合体,是沙俄侵华的“桥头堡”。为实施沙俄政府远东政策,变黑龙江乃至东北为沙俄殖民地,华俄道胜银行从政治、经济、军事等各个方面进行一系列殖民化经营和统治活动,为沙俄在黑龙江攫取了巨大的政治和经济利益,给黑龙江经济社会和广大人民造成了深重灾难。拟从华俄道胜银行承办中东铁路并实行强权政治,投资支持殖民经营和发行推行羌帖等方面进行揭示和阐述,以对华俄道胜银行的本质、殖民化活动及给黑龙江经济社会带来的严重危害有全面深刻的认识。     

AGAINST THE COLONIZATION OF URBAN DEVELOPMENT: The Top-dong Right to the City Movement in Jeju,South Korea

The Top-dong Movement was an extensive residents’ resistance mobilization against the Top-dong Public Water Reclamation project in the late 1980s in Jeju, South Korea. Starting as a local female divers’ struggle for subsistence, the Top-dong Movement grew into a collective action to reveal the illegalities of the project, demand that profits should be fairly shared and assert self-determination. State-led development of Jeju in the post-Korean war period functioned to render the island an extractive periphery during South Korea's capitalist modernization. Within that context, the Top-dong reclamation project exemplifies how urban development projects create colonial conditions in local communities by dispossessing them of land and the means of subsistence, commodifying public resources and extracting profits. Jeju islanders reacted by claiming specific rights: female divers’ collective rights to public water and the means of livelihood against dispossession; local residents’ rights to control developmental profits against extraction; and islanders’ rights to participate in decision-making processes against exclusion. Bridging Lefebvre's two concepts—colonization and the right to the city, this article argues that the historically situated, place-based right to the city movement revealed the colonization involved in urban development and performed practices of decolonization.
