Self-gifting as a therapeutic reward: motivational approach for self-gifting promotions

This study uncovers a motivational mechanism of self-gifting and argues for a therapeutic reward of self-gifting in the context of success. The effects of external motivation of achievement as the underlying antecedent of perceived sacrifice on inspiring materialistic self-gifting behavior are investigated. A total of 774 respondents participated in an online survey posted via the nationwide crowdsourcing web service (MTurk) in the US. The results revealed that extrinsic motivation, internal locus of achievement causality, perceived sacrifice and self-achievement evaluations are indicators for predicting material self-rewarding intention. Further practical and academic implications in marketing communications are discussed in this paper.     

At once liberating and exclusionary? A Lefebvrean analysis of Gilda’s Club of Toronto

This study uses a Lefebvrean analysis to explore the ways social relations are negotiated and contested in the production of a quasi-recreational space called Gilda’s Club of Greater Toronto, a venue that provides complementary care and support to people living with cancer. It does so by asking how Gilda’s Club, as a social space, resists and/or reproduces the conflicts and challenges of care for people living with cancer. Drawing on the work of Henri Lefebvre to guide the analysis, qualitative data collected from 26 club members were used to examine the production of the club as a conceived, perceived and lived space. The findings underscore the insurgent and transformative possibilities of a social space like Gilda’s Club for people living with cancer, while also exposing the club as a site of discriminatory practices wherein marginalisation was produced and enforced. The complex tension between these contrasting practices is explored.     

糖尿病并发脑出血与非糖尿病性脑出血疗效比较

探讨糖尿病并发脑出血与非糖尿病性脑出血的临床疗效及预后.分别选取38例糖尿病并发脑出血患者(A组)和54例非糖尿病性脑出血患者(B组),两组均采取常规治疗并对治疗效果进行比较.结果表明,A组治愈率(5.62%)明显低于B组治愈率(16.67%),A组疗效明显低于B组.因此,糖尿病并发脑出血组(A组)的疗效较非糖尿病性脑出血组(B组)为差.     

Seniors’ seasonal movements for health enhancement

ABSTRACT

Seasonal migration is an emerging trend among seniors in China. In comparison with the lifestyle-oriented migrations of seniors in much of the western world, Chinese seniors often travel with a focus on improving their health and longevity. Adapting the concept of a therapeutic landscape, the changes experienced by seniors with health problems who visit Bama County, a remote area in southwest China well-known for the longevity of its residents, are explored through personal observation and in-depth interviews. All seniors reported improvements, to different degrees, in their physical, mental and social health. These positive transformations were attributed to the therapeutic physical, social and symbolic landscapes of Bama, as well as to the seniors’ proactive actions and their positive mindset. Implications are offered to the service industry, especially the broad tourism and hospitality industry, that is interested in attracting and catering to the aging Chinese population.     

非小细胞肺癌靶向治疗药物的疗效及经济性研究综述

目的综述非小细胞肺癌靶向治疗药物的临床疗效及药物经济学评价结果。方法基于非小细胞肺癌的流行病学特征和治疗发展趋势,选取临床应用较多的靶向治疗药物,并检索国内外相关文献,对其治疗非小细胞肺癌的临床疗效和经济性进行综合分析。结果吉非替尼和厄洛替尼是目前针对非小细胞肺癌最受关注的靶向治疗药物。针对不同类型的患者,两者表现出不同的临床疗效,而较少的药物经济学研究显示了其经济性。结论吉非替尼和厄洛替尼的临床疗效和经济性在总体上优于其它治疗方案,但还需更深入的研究。     

论孔子的治疗型智慧

治疗作为哲学的一个重要维度在中国哲学中体现得非常明显。孔子的思想中包含着大量治疗型智慧。其思想中客观存在着＂由己者＂与＂由他者＂的区分,＂由己者＂自身的高低层级区分和＂由他者＂自身的高低层级区分。正是在＂由己者＂与＂由他者＂的区分和相互作用下,孔子思想产生了积极的治疗作用。     

筒述我国中医诊疗标准化研究概况

文章通过对我国中医诊疗研究历史的回顾,介绍了中医诊疗标准化的发展过程、研究成果、技术与方法。通过对上述各内容的研究,指出取得的进步与存在的问题,同时提出了对中医诊疗标准化研究的建议。     

旅游地日常生活的康复性意义研究——以丽江古城为例

健康是人类关注的永恒话题,旅游和健康本源上存在密切联系,近年来已成为旅游学及其交叉学科关注的研究热点。旅游地如何促进旅游者健康体验、幸福感甚至社会福祉,是亟待回答的学理和实践命题。基于此,文章将旅游地日常生活与旅游者健康体验联系起来,以丽江古城客栈主与旅游者为研究对象,通过深度访谈和参与式观察,明晰旅游情境中日常生活对于旅游者主观健康体验的积极作用。研究发现:(1)旅游地从空间、时间、社会实践3个维度营造了特定时空中的生活新范式与典范形态,建构了环境、日常生活与健康交互新面向;(2)旅游地日常生活为旅游者提供了物质、社会和心理多重资源,形成了生理、心理和精神、社会人际交往能力三维康复性意义结构;(3)旅游地日常生活的康复性意义是在旅游者与旅游地复杂性、动态性关联中建构的,并从生产与消费两端对康复性意义进行共同塑造与整合。研究从微观层面的日常生活出发,以实证分析回应了旅游、日常生活、健康体验之间的互动关联,为深入理解旅游的意义提供了新思考,也为旅游业实现美好生活需要提供现实指导。
