发布澄清公告是上市公司应对市场传闻的主要途径。然而,在中国证券市场中,澄清公告却澄而不清,其原因在于某些因素会影响澄清公告的有效性。文章主要围绕信息内容(否认措辞)和信息来源(澄清企业的声誉与传闻媒体的权威性)两类影响因素进行探讨。研究发现,否认措辞将对澄清效果产生影响,并且两者的关系同时受到企业声誉和媒体权威性的调节作用,企业声誉越差,媒体权威性越高,否认措辞对澄清效果的影响越大。研究结论检验了心理学理论在证券市场中的有效性,拓展了金融市场领域的研究范畴,同时为上市公司应对市场传闻提供了新的思路。   相似文献

Framing has been widely shown to affect decision making. In this paper, we investigate experimentally whether, and to what extent, cooperative behaviour in a Game of Chicken may be impacted by a very basic change in the labelling of the strategies. Our within‐subject experimental design involves two treatments. The only difference between them is that we introduce either a socially‐oriented wording (I cooperate/I do not cooperate) or colours (red/blue) to designate strategies. The level of cooperation appears to be higher in the socially‐oriented context, but only when uncertainty as regards the type of the partner is manipulated, and especially among females.  相似文献

Survey questions worded with the verb ‘forbid’ prove not to elicit opposite answers to equivalent questions worded with the verb ‘allow’ (Rugg 1941). Although ‘forbid’ and ‘allow’ are generally considered each other’s counterparts, respondents rather answer ‘no, not forbid’ than ‘yes, allow’. In order to find out which question is a more valid measure of the underlying attitude, this asymmetry in the answers has to be explained. Experiments show that the asymmetry arises because respondents translate similar attitudes differently into the answering options to forbid/allow questions are equally valid, but the way the attitudes are expressed on the answering scale differs due to the use of ‘forbid’ or ‘allow’. How does this translation process work? The leading hypothesis in forbid/allow research predicts that respondents holding moderate opinions feel that ‘yes forbid’ and ‘yes allow’ are very extreme, causing moderate respondents to prefer answering ‘not forbid’, or ‘not allow’. This article presents the results of 10 experiments investigating the meanings of the answering options to forbid/allow questions. Extreme connotations are shown to only provide part of the explanation for the occurrence of the forbid/allow asymmetry. In order to describe the answering process for forbid/allow questions, well-definedness of meanings proves to be an important additional factor. The meanings of answering options to allow questions are ill-defined compared of those to forbid questions, which causes allow questions to be less homogeneous measures of the underlying attitude than forbid questions.  相似文献

Although item nonresponse can never be totally prevented, it can be considerably reduced, and thereby provide the researcher with not only more useable data, but also with helpful auxiliary information for a better imputation and adjustment. To achieve this an optimal data collection design is necessary. The optimization of the questionnaire and survey design are the main tools a researcher has to reduce the number of missing data in any such survey. In this contribution a concise typology of missing data patterns and their sources of origin are presented. Based on this typology, the mechanisms responsible for missing data are identified, followed by a discussion on how item nonresponse can be prevented.  相似文献

This paper examines the influences of question wording on consumers’ levels of support for genetically modified organisms (GMOs) in food products. Pairs of questions, offering varied amounts of information on the benefits and risks of GMOs, are posed to consumers in a specific geographic area (Vermont, USA) to ascertain the factors that impact on levels of support for this technology. A multivariate analysis is conducted to examine how knowledge, attitudes, and behavioural intentions affect changes in levels of support. The findings suggest that consumers’ levels of support do vary based on question wording. It is further found that knowledge and behavioural intentions play a consistently significant role in influencing change in support for GMOs. Implications for both consumer advocacy groups and industry groups are discussed.  相似文献
