利用汽车产业的整合重组增强一汽的竞争力

中国入世之后,面对欧美及日本这些汽车王国的挑战,中国的汽车工业压力陡然增大,许多人对中国汽车业能否与强者抗衡并能战胜强者心里没有把握。特别是作为中国汽车业的龙头企业———一汽集团,接连主动出击,在国内进行产业整合重组,使一汽集团在新世纪最初的几年时间里,就加速行驶进入汽车工业发展的快车道,让人感到,未来几年必定是中国汽车业发展最快的几年。     

Opinion dynamics and wisdom under conformity

We study a dynamic model of opinion formation in social networks. In our model, boundedly rational agents update opinions by averaging over their neighbors’ expressed opinions, but may misrepresent their own opinion by conforming or counter-conforming with their neighbors. We show that an agent׳s social influence on the long-run group opinion is increasing in network centrality and decreasing in conformity. Concerning efficiency of information aggregation or “wisdom” of the society, it turns out that misrepresentation of opinions need not undermine wisdom, but may even enhance it. Given the network, we provide the optimal distribution of conformity levels in the society and show which agents should be more conforming in order to increase wisdom.     

Adolph Lowe on Freedom,Education and Socialization

The lifework of Adolph Lowe (1893–1995) was greatly motivated by his struggle with the problem of “freedom and order”. This paper explores Lowe's largely overlooked and under-examined writings on education and political philosophy, important components of his “political economics”. Lowe's concern with the socialization function of education is highlighted and related to his notion of “spontaneous conformity, as well as the ideas of Vygotsky on imaginative children's play and C. S. Peirce on habit-change. Taking Gorman's critique of Schutz's conception of freedom as a point of departure, and drawing on the work of C. Wright Mills, Lowe's own conception of freedom is critically examined. For Lowe, the stronger the commitment to community, the greater is the possibility for individual autonomy without the threat of social disruption.

On Conformity Testing and the Use of two Stage Procedures

Conformity testing is a systematic examination of the extent to which an entity conforms to specified requirements. Such testing is performed in industry as well as in regulatory agencies in a variety of fields. In this paper we discuss conformity testing under measurement or sampling uncertainty. Although the situation has many analogies to statistical testing of a hypothesis concerning the unknown value of the measurand there are no generally accepted rules for handling measurement uncertainty when testing for conformity. Usually the objective of a test for conformity is to provide assurance of conformity. We therefore suggest that an appropriate statistical test for conformity should be devised such that there is only a small probability of declaring conformity when in fact the entity does not conform. An operational way of formulating this principle is to require that whenever an entity has been declared to be conforming, it should not be possible to alter that declaration, even if the entity was investigated with better (more precise) measuring instruments, or measurement procedures. Some industries and agencies designate specification limits under consideration of the measurement uncertainty. This practice is not invariant under changes of measurement procedure. We therefore suggest that conformity testing should be based upon a comparison of a confidence interval for the value of the measurand with some limiting values that have been designated without regard to the measurement uncertainty. Such a procedure is in line with the recently established practice of reporting measurement uncertainty as “an interval of values that could reasonably be attributed to the measurand”. The price to be paid for a reliable assurance of conformity is a relatively large risk that the procedure will fail to establish conformity for entities that only marginally conform. We suggest a two‐stage procedure that may improve this situation and provide a better discriminatory ability. In an example we illustrate the determination of the power function of such a two‐stage procedure.     

广告信息对仿冒奢侈品购买意愿的影响研究

本研究采用实验的方法挖掘广告调节聚焦信息对消费者非欺诈性仿冒奢侈品购买意愿的影响机理。研究结果表明，奢侈品广告信息对消费者仿冒奢侈品购买意愿的影响受消费者自尊水平的调节：对于高自尊的消费者，当广告信息为预防聚焦时，其仿冒奢侈品的购买意愿更低；对于低自尊的消费者，广告调节聚焦信息对其仿冒奢侈品购买意愿的影响不显著。广告信息对消费者仿冒奢侈品购买意愿的影响还受消费者从众倾向的调节：对于低从众倾向的消费者，当广告信息为预防聚焦时，其仿冒奢侈品的购买意愿更低；对于高从众倾向的消费者，广告调节聚焦信息对其仿冒奢侈品购买意愿的影响不显著。     

我国城市景观设计中的文化失语现象

随着我国社会经济的不断发展,城市本身也在向前发展.然而我们的城市景观,在这种迅猛发展的过程中,正逐渐丧失其地域性和文化性的特色,趋向雷同.本文针对当前国内城市景观设计中普遍存在的文化失语现象,提出应该对城市景观空间进行整合;并在继承优秀传统文化同时,还需引进先进设计理念.     

中国对外贸易新趋势的实证分析——基于扩展型贸易引力模型

贸易引力模型作为研究对外贸易影响因素的一个理论方法,近年来相应的理论模型随着贸易的实践演变有了相应的扩展.我国目前贸易自由化进程取得非常大的成果,而且未来还有更加积极的开放措施.到2005年中国已经成为世界第三贸易大国,对于影响贸易流量的因素的探讨成为研究的热点.本文借助近年来在贸易流量分析方面运用十分广泛的引力模型的基本分析框架,对中国与15个贸易伙伴的双边贸易进行实证研究,发现我国的贸易结构已经从传统的要素禀赋理论指导的产业间贸易转化为产品差异化为动因的产业内贸易,而且双边自由贸易协定的制度安排(FTA)对贸易增长有显著的正效应.     

Wells Fargo: Administrative evil and the pressure to conform

Corporate corruption has become a pervasive problem in our society as scandals erupt with disheartening regularity. These unethical business practices result not only in financial disaster but also in the disillusionment and loss of trust on the part of consumers and shareholders alike. Unethical behavior often originates with top management. However, these bad actors cannot act alone. They must have the complicit support of others within the organization. In this installment of Business Law & Ethics Corner, we examine the pressures and motives of people deep within the corporation; the ordinary people who, by just going about their everyday jobs, enable these scandals to take place. Administrative evil is an explanatory framework to understand the tendency toward dehumanization and the rationalization of unethical behaviors. Using the Wells Fargo account scandal as an illustration, we integrate administrative evil with theories from organizational psychology which strive to understand group pressure for social conformity. We conclude with recommendations to prevent unethical attitudes and behaviors from permeating the organization.
