Measuring lnequality in the Middle East 1990–2016: The World’s Most Unequal Region?

In this paper we combine household surveys, national accounts, income tax data and wealth data in order to estimate income concentration in the Middle East for the period 1990–2016. According to our benchmark series, the Middle East appears to be the most unequal region in the world, with a top decile income share as large as 64 percent, compared to 37 percent in Western Europe, 47 percent in the US and 55 percent in Brazil (see Alvaredo et al. 2018). This is due both to enormous inequality between countries (particularly between oil‐rich and population‐rich countries) and to large inequality within countries (which we probably under‐estimate, given the limited access to proper fiscal data). We stress the importance of increasing transparency on income and wealth in the Middle East, as well as the need to develop mechanisms of regional redistribution and investment.

文章研究了冲刷造成桥墩倾覆和其他所有可能的破坏,针对湖南资水大桥实例,对可能的冲刷破坏进行了分析和研究,用数值积分法计算了基底冲刷对基础检算各项目的影响,包括冲刷对倾覆稳定性、墩顶弹性水平位移和基底压应力的影响3个基本部分,最终得出基底冲刷对桥墩安全性的影响。     

China top brand strategy and innovation

The Chinese economy appears the double-restraint characteristic at present stage including mainly resources restraint and market restraint. With the policy of reform and opening up, and especially after accelerating the two fundamental changes put forward by central government, the transformation of the economic growth mode achieved positive progress in China. There was still no brand from China mainland belonging to the 100 top world valuable brands according to Business Weekly of America in 2006. By 2007, a total of 1957 China top brand, 10 world famous China top brand are awarded in china to form a powerful enterprise group. But how to assess a brand is still troublesome. This paper shows the evolution of the policy and discusses the dilemma expecting the advice from the domestic and abroad.     

The influence of top management team traits on corporate financial performance in the US

This article aims to study the effect of human capital on the financial performance of the most admired American firms. Human capital is measured in terms of the demographic attributes and the diversity of top managers. The use of panel linear multiple regressions reveals that the most successful firms are characterized by coherent and homogeneous top management teams with moderate tenure and excellent wages. Moreover, the heterogeneity of managers is recommended for fairly young top management teams and for larger firms operating in a turbulent environment. Copyright © 2014 ASAC. Using CRM to Model Firm Performance in a Business-to-Business Market

Customer relationship management (CRM) is the widely accepted approach for gathering, examining, understanding and translating information related to customers into managerial action. CRM is investigated in the context of new product performance (NPP). CRM enhances NPP as well as firm performance. This study investigates the impact of CRM on NPP through the moderation of top management support and an innovative culture, as well as the impact of CRM on firm performance through the mediation of NPP. A questionnaire survey is used for data collection from marketing managers of 159 firms in Pakistan in the B-to-B market. Hypotheses were tested using SEM in SMART PLS. This research shows that CRM directly affects firm performance, while NPP partially mediates the relationship of CRM and firm performance. These findings have significant implications for the practitioner. This study delivers insights to managers and academicians about the role of CRM in enhancing NPP and improving firm performance. In general, the study provides new insights into CRM by integrating top management support and an innovative culture. The research extends our understanding that top management support and innovative culture do not moderate the relationship of CRM with new product performance in a B-to-B context.

目前正处于煤炭行业的寒潮时期,各地煤炭企业亏损严重。为了响应国家的安全生产方针,煤炭企业在该时期生产过程中安全方面更不敢出一丝的问题。由于综采工艺相比其他采煤工艺而言大大提高了施工人员的安全系数。所以,综采工艺往往是工作面回采的首选。河南能源化工集团焦煤公司中马村矿同样采用了综采工艺对211021工作面进行回采。211021综采工作面为顶层工作面,并且所采煤层煤质较软,初采初放期间遇到了三条断层。下面就211021综采工作面回采初期的技术管理进行简要的分析总结。

本文以武汉市江汉六桥顶推施工为背景,利用有限元软件对大跨度钢箱梁桥顶推施工过程中主梁以及导梁的受力和变形进行了研究,并提出了相关建议,为同类钢箱梁桥梁顶推施工提供参考。
