Building on the GLOBE study of cultural values, this article explores the impact of societal culture on organizational social media use. The analysis reported in this article is based on data collected from the Fortune Global 500 organizations regarding their use of six different types of external social media. The results of the analysis indicate that societal culture has to be considered an important factor for organizational social media use.  相似文献

随着全球化的脚步,中国经济的发展,进入500强的榜单是中国企业奋斗的目标之一。尽管近20年来,中国企业在榜单出现的绝对数量越来越多,排名也在逐渐上升,但是仍有众多行业中并未出现中国企业,且入选企业自身也与世界顶尖企业存在一定的差距。文中分析1994-2006年中国入选500强企业的变化及其行业分布、经营状况等,并对美、日、欧入选企业进行分析,最后提出中国企业发展的启示。  相似文献

This study of reports in the business news between January 1, 2000 and June 30, 2005 found that as of 1999, 40 corporations in the Fortune 100 had committed behaviors that can be considered unethical. The behaviors of concern included three types of fraud (accounting, securities, and consumer), discriminatory practices, undisclosed executive pay, antitrust activities, patent infringement, and other violations of the law. Based on the “unacceptability” of the misdeeds committed, this article ranks the 40 firms into three categories. Further, it uses the research on business ethics and the behaviors of executives, boards of directors, and even government officials to suggest why these unethical behaviors were allowed to happen. Finally, it concludes with recommendations for improving business behavior, and suggests important roles for future business leaders and the broader American public.  相似文献

房地产资产是我国居民最重要的资产财富,房价波动通过财富效应影响居民消费支出行为.对全国和特定地区的数据进行稳定性检验、因果关系检验和加入房价变量的消费函数模型实证检验的基础上发现,房价上涨对我国居民消费支出有显著的抑制作用,房价波动的财富效应在不同地区之间存在很大的差异,不同类型商品房屋的财富效应是不同的,财富效应分析可作为考量房地产市场需求结构和价格合理性的一个测度.  相似文献

在快速城市化过程中,住房价格持续上涨并不是由外部因素所决定的,而是内生于经济运行本身。由于住房的双重属性和较大的财富持有差距,一旦住房价格被需求触发,住房的投资属性必然会压过消费属性,由经济内部因素作用而持续上涨,直到价值增值的实现受到制约后,才会改变上涨趋势,经过一段时间之后,这个过程会重新开始。在价格上涨和价值增值的实现过程中,伴随着双重财富分配效应,价格持续上涨不但转移了无房人群的当期财富,而且转移了未来财富,同时具有持久性。要想抑制房价持续上涨,减弱这种分配效应,必须缩小投资收益空间,提高无房人群的支付能力。  相似文献

Corporations have increasingly used their websites to communicate their environmental policies with their stakeholders. Their claims fall into two categories: substantive claims, which include product- or process-related claims, and associative claims, which are not directly related to a firm's products or its processes. This paper aims to explore the use of these two types of claims on Fortune 500 websites. The findings indicate that both types of claims are used, although there are more substantive claims than associative claims. Both types of claims are positively correlated with firm sales. 文章认为,当前我国扩大消费的实质,就是要解决贫困和高储蓄率问题。资本市场在扩大内需战略中是关键环节之一,但不能过分扩大资本市场的作用,尤其是不能将股市的财富效应作为政策手段,应从我国各类资本市场的实际出发,结合扩大消费的瓶颈,发挥其相应的作用。我国的债券市场、信贷市场、外汇储备及其他多层次资本市场,在扩大消费中均能有所作为。  相似文献

Despite a link between external recognition for diversity management and important financial outcomes, very little research has examined the organizational efforts that can lead to such external recognition. To address this gap, this study examines the links between strategic diversity statements, diversity management practices, and external recognition of diversity using the theoretical lenses of the resource-based view (RBV) and institutional theory. Data on diversity statements and practices were collected from 27 Fortune 1000 companies, and, using a time-lag approach, external recognition data were collected from professional organizations one year later. Results show that organizations that “walk the talk” and institute both diversity statements and practices were more likely to gain external recognition. This study provides timely and practical recommendations for hospitality firms to integrate diversity statements with diversity practices, a process that may lead to external recognition and thus to favorable outcomes.  相似文献
