纺织服装企业逆向物流服务集成平台的构建

在阐述废旧纺织品逆向物流特点的基础上,对纺织服装业逆向物流的信息体系结构进行深入研究,开发一个适合纺织服装业逆向物流的服务集成平台以支持废旧纺织品的回收和再生。该系统包括逆向物流运营管理系统、企业间逆向物流交易管理系统和逆向物流公共信息服务平台三个子系统,具有废旧产品物料分类管理、库存管理、运输管理、再利用跟踪管理、客户资源管理、决策支持、物流交易管理、配送管理、数据仓库与数据挖掘等功能。     

我国纺织服装业投资东盟的区位选择

纺织品配额取消以后,我国纺织服装出口反而遇到前所未有的挑战,纺织服装的低成本优势正在逐步丧失。为了化解出口压力,作为纺织服装出口大国,我国应该借助中国东盟自由贸易区(CAFTA)建设的机遇,把低端产品的生产转移到东盟。     

功能性纺织品的评价与标准化

文章对功能性纺织品的种类及评价方法进行了分类分析,提出了建设功能性纺织品标准体系框架,探讨了纺织品功能性评价中的若干问题。     

中国输欧纺织品服装结构分析

自2005年起,中国与欧盟在纺织品服装贸易问题上摩擦不断。本文通过计算中国和欧盟15国的贸易竞争力指数,分析了中国输欧纺织品服装结构中的劳动密集型和粗加工特征,并指出了这种出口结构存在的问题,最后给出了相应的对策建议。     

中、美纺织品贸易摩擦的利益相关者分析

贸易的政治因素和经济因素经常被单独分析,Freeman的利益相关者分析成功地实现了两者的综合。本文通过利益相关者方法分析中、美纺织品贸易摩擦问题,分析表明:贸易摩擦牵涉到各方利益,贸易摩擦的解决最终是各方政治经济利益的均衡。因此对于中方,不应只站在自己的角度,而应站在双方视角看待和解决纺织品贸易摩擦问题,对症下药,提高对美贸易政策的有效性,具体可采取对外直接投资,开辟多元化的出口市场,争取美国国内零售协会的帮助和自愿出口限额等措施。     

我国生态纺织品的企业发展策略研究

纺织服装产业是与人类基本生活资料生产密切相关的基础产业,在可持续发展战略思想被不断强调的背景下,其设计、研发和生产过程中的污染问题受到了越来越多的关注。因此,制定发展生态纺织品的有效策略,跨越绿色壁垒,促进现代纺织业的发展,成为我国纺织业的重点工作之一,也是各大纺织企业的一项长期战略任务。文章对发展我国生态纺织品的企业应对策略进行阐述。     

The Export Market Pattern of China＇s Textiles and Apparel in Post-quota Regime

On the basis of studying the status of China＇s textiles and apparel export, including export quantity, markets, price and quality, this paper analyzes the export market pattern in five aspects： market space, the falling price and diminishing profit, the rising proportion of processing trade, the intense exporting competition, and the accelerating trade barriers in order to indicate the export market pattern of China＇s textiles and apparel in post-quota regime.     

The impact of environmental management systems on financial performance in fashion and textiles industries

With rising environmental concerns from consumers and stakeholder groups, environmental management has become an important responsibility for today's fashion and textiles manufacturers. The production of fashion and textiles related products often requires high levels of energy and water consumption, and emits large quantities of pollutants to the environment. Therefore, the adoption of environmental management systems (EMSs) is important and could have a significant impact on these firms' operational performance. This study presents empirical evidence on the performance impact of EMS adoption in the fashion and textiles related industries (FTIs). Although EMSs have emerged as a passport to business in the FTIs, their actual impacts on firms' financial performance have not been explored. We reveal that the adoption of ISO 14000, the most popular EMS, improves manufacturers' profitability in the FTIs over a three-year period as measured by return-on-assets (ROA). Based on our sample, we find that profitability improvement started during the implementation stage and continued at least one year after the firm obtained ISO 14000 certification. We also find that profitability improvement is mainly due to improvement in cost efficiency, measured by return-on-sales (ROS). Specifically, certified firms improved up to 2.9% in ROA and 3.3% in ROS over the three-year period since they implemented ISO 14000. We conclude that there is a positive impact of EMS adoption on firms' financial performance in the FTIs.     

The ‘disguised’ foreign investor: Brands,trademarks and the British expatriate entrepreneur in Brazil

Abstract

This article examines the impact of the British expatriate entrepreneur, and his processes of knowledge transfer, on the industrialization and economic development of Brazil between 1875 and 1914. It focuses on the textiles industry, and combines original trademark data with conventional trade and investment statistics, and also case study analysis about firms and their entrepreneurs. It argues that British investment in Brazil was higher and had a deeper impact on economic development than considered by existing research, as expatriate entrepreneurs ‘disguised’ a substantial amount of foreign investments by acting as shareholders and top managers of newly established local businesses.
