谈中国地名英译的统一

目前国内在翻译中国地名时存在着混乱现象。地名翻译应遵循让外国人看懂和尽可能让中国人也能听懂的两条原则,翻译时应尽快从约定俗成过度到汉语拼音,逐步实现完全使用汉语拼音,使用统一的翻译标准,规范地名的英译行为。

On the Unity of the Translation of the Place Names in China

On the basis of the nonidentity in translating the place names of China.this paper deals with two principles of such translation.One is to make foreigners understand it,the other is to make Chinese listen and understand the place names of China spoken by foreigners.And the author also makes some suggestions of his own in translating the concrete place names of China,and points out that such translation should be identical.
