He is Professor of Innovation at the University of Groningen School of Economics and Business, and is corresponding editor for the Review of Social Economy. He has co‐edited Understanding the Dynamics of the Knowledge Economy (with Luc Soete, 2006), Globalization, Social Capital and Inequality (with Charlie Dannreuther, 2003), and Ethics and the Market (with Deb Figart and Jance Clary, 2006), and authored Institutional Economics and the Formation of Preferences (2004), Knowledge Economies (2008), and Institutions, Communication and Values (forthcoming). The former monograph won him EAEPE's Gunnar Myrdal Prize in 2006. His articles have featured in, among others, the Journal of Economics Issues, American Journal of Economics and Sociology, Journal of Evolutionary Economics, Journal of Economic and Social Geography, Journal of Business Ethics, The Information Society, and Research Policy.
