Comparison of the Testing Methods of the Yarns Twist

The twist is an important technique index of the yarn, is one of the main gist in yarns grades, which direct influences yams structure, physical function, style of fabric and clothes properties, so the yarn twists testing methods seem to be particularly important. The twist of several yarns is tested in four methods. The tested result is compared with the design twist, the deviation rate of twist size is calculated, different reg- ulations of yarn twist＇ s test methods are found. This comparison provides the basis for correctly selecting the methods of testing twist in textile mills.
