Reflection on Promoting the Independent Innovation of Preponderant Industry in Northeast China

During the economic transformation and upgrading and the improvement of competitive strength, Northeast China＇s preponderant industries have suffered a series of problems including weak independent innovation, lack of efficient innovation mechanism and independent innovation brands, which not only slows down the sustainable development of the regional preponderant industries and the revitalization of old industrial bases, but also hinder the growth of public welfare. The reasons for that are extensive economic growth mode, limited innovation investment and innovative talents as well as mechanism problems and other related factors. Thus, adjusting government policies to support innovation, investing more into enterprises＇research and innovation, improving the mechanism of the innovation talent incentive and transforming the implementation of enterprises independent innovation are keys to promote the competitiveness of Northeast China＇s predonderant industries.
