Result-oriented and process-oriented evaluations of indicative planning
Authors:Peter Murrell
Abstract:This paper comments on the methodology that Estrin and Holmes (Estrin, Saul, and Holmes, Peter, “Indicative Planning in Developed Economies.” J. Comp. Econom. 14, 4:000-000, 1990) employ to evaluate indicative planning in developed countries. An evaluation that focuses on results suffers from inevitable informational problems, thus necessitating an examination of the processes of indicative planning.
