| Abstract: | The paper is a case study of the first American research university-the Johns Hopkins University. First it makes a research into its founding process and its achievements as well as its management characteristics. Second it analyzes its ideas of creating this research university. Finally the paper compares this university with a few famous Chinese research universities. |
