运用形成性评价促进英语教学

摘    要:英语教学评价在英语教学中起着重要的作用。传统的终结性评价方式评价的是学生的解题能力,以考试分数来衡量学生的英语学习能力和教师的教学质量,不利于学生运用英语进行交际的能力的培养,已不能适应新时期对英语教学的要求。而形成性评价方式则着眼于学生的各种真实的学习活动和任务,旨在激发学生学习英语的兴趣和积极性,培养学生运用英语进行交际的能力。本文试通过简单介绍形成性评价的运用,分析形成性评价的必要性及在运用中应注意的问题。

Abstract:English language teaching assessment plays an important role in English teaching. Traditional summative assessment, which focuses on students' ability of answering questions and assesses students' language learning competence only by examinations, can't meet the requirements needed in new times any longer. This assessment is not helpful to nurture and cultivate students' English language communicative competence. Formative assessment, which focuses on the performance of students' various learning activities and tasks, is designed to stimulate students' interest and enthusiasm in English language learning, and cultivate and strengthen students' communicative competence in English. This paper attempts to introduce how the writer employed formative assessment in English language teaching and discuss the necessity of employing formative assessment in English language teaching and some problems needed to be paid attention to while employing this assessment.
