摘    要:模糊性是自然语言的基本属性之一。作为语言模糊性的一种体现形式,模糊词汇广泛存在于广告英语中。该文主要从合作原则的角度分析广告英语中模糊词汇的语用功能。

Abstract:Vagueness is one of the natures of human language. As the embodiment of vagueness in language, vague words are widely used in advertising English. This paper intends to analyze the pragmatic functions of vague words in advertising English from the perspective of cooperative principle.
