Application of Fire and Explosion Exponential Method in the Safety Evaluation of Gas Purification Factory

Using the method of fire and explosion indexes, a safety assessment is made of the production device in a gas-cleaning plant. Taking the desulfurizing unit for example, an introduction is made of the procedures and contents of safety evaluation. It is found that the danger class of the plant is very high before safety measures are taken and that accident risks have been reduced to an acceptable level after many process-related safety measures including DCS control have been taken. Meanwhile, some safety countermeasures in terms of management and technology are proposed.
