| Abstract: | Sentence elements are generally combined together in a certain sequence. Sometimes, the closely-combined elements are separated from each other by certain inserted elements, which results in their discontinuities. This paper attempts to find out the causes of this language phenomenon by listing the types of discontinuities. |
