Review of 2008 International Shipbuilding Market and Expectation for 2009 |

| Abstract: | 2008 is doomed to be an unusual year. Shipbuilding market began to turn down due to financial crisis after several consec- utive years of prosperity. The whole market was filled with reluctance, panic and perplexity and almost entered into a state of stagnation. As the worst situation of global entity economy affected by financial crisis has not yet appeared, it is estimat- ed that international shipbuilding market will face a harder situation and it would be inevitable to see a further downgoing trend in 2009. |
