| 摘 要： | 在1955年10月1日，中华人民共和国成立六周年之际，新疆维吾尔自治区宣告成立，从此掀开了新疆历史发展的新纪元。新中国成立六十周年来，在党和国家的大力支持下，新疆的社会经济发展取得了辉煌成就。本文主要从综合实力、农村经济、工业经济、交通运输、邮电通讯、社会保障、科技文化事业等十一个方面对新疆的经济社会发展总体情况进行了论述。

| Abstract: | October 1, 1955 witnessed the founding of Xinjiang Ugyur Autonomous Region, which stood for the new development of Xinjiang. Since the founding of People＇ s Republic of China, with the support of the Party and the Government, glorious achievements have been made in the development of social economy in Xinjiang. The paper summarizes the overall situation in Xinjiang from the perspective of comprehensive strength, rural economy, industrial economy, transportation, communication, social security, science and technology. |
