“苦力”：民国时期城市底层社会研究——读《民国时期社会调查丛编》

通过追溯民国时期“苦力”调查，对早期社会调查的得失进行评价，进而分析在城市底层移民研究和边缘职业群体研究的脉络中推进城市底层社会研究的可行性。在此基础上，针对中国当代城市底层社会现状，为进一步展开对城市底层社会的研究提供一些社会学和人类学的视角。

Coolie: Studies of Urban Social Underclass in the Republican Period: A Comment on "Social Surveys in the Republican Period"

After reviewing the extant surveys on ＂coolie＂ from the Republican period, we may evaluate the merits and deficiencies of social surveys in the early society and study the feasibility of promoting studies of urban social underclass along two lines, namely, the study of urban underclass migration and the study of marginal professional groups. On the basis of this, we may create some sociological and anthropological perspectives for further studies of urban underclass in contemporary China.
