Development of high-speed railway and China rail freight transportation

With the development of China＇s high-speed railway, the railway transport capacity has been rapidly enhanced. Rapid economic/social development and industrial structure optimization have resulted in sharp increase of high valueadded finished products, container and other cargo transport demand. In the new situation, China＇s railway freight faces unprecedented development opportunity. It is important to study the development of high-speed railway and China rail freight transportation. In this paper, the influence of the development of China＇s high-speed railway on railway freight transport is analyzed, a series of measures on the innovation of China railway freight organization, and the corresponding achievements are introduced, finally the development strategy after separate freight from passenger transport is discussed.
