| Abstract: | Based on an analysis to the current situation and the developmentof express passenger transport network in northeast of China, and according tothe current conditions of railway in this region as well as the tendency ofcompetition in both passenger and freight transport market, the paper suggeststo launch a speed-increasing modification to the second longitudinal (north-southrouting) branch line of the region and carries out an analysis as well as adiscussion on both the necessity and the feasibility of this modification. |
