The rig, derrick and its affiliated parts are almost all metal materials. Its equipment is relatively protruding on the ground, so it is easily struck by lightning. In the current drilling process, the construction team pays not enough attention to the prevention of lightning. There are many problems in the use and installation of lightning protection facilities. Through discussion of lightning damage and prevention methods, it is expected to improve the construction team＇s lightning safety awareness and do well in lightning protection work.
