城市用地功能置换中的公共空间设计--旧金山滨水区公共空间设计的成败分析

Urban public space design in the process of urban land use function change: A case study on design for waterfront public space of San Francisco

The design for waterfront public space of San Francisco gives us experiences: ho w to create urban public space in the process of urban land use cha nge. The successful experiences of the design comprises development pattern of p ublic space, generators of activities, public transit, identity of places and fu ns of places. Moreover, there are shortages in the design, such as empty green s pace, paved decoratively space, inanimate waterfront walkway. Based on analysis, this paper gives several suggestions on urban public spaces.
