On the Quality of Registration of Population Census

The registration quality of population census has a significant effect on the accuracy of the final figure of census population. It includes the registration quality of the total population enumeration and that of the item content. Many countries mainly assess the registration quality of total population enumeration because evaluating the quality of content is rather difficult and the goal of census is to obtain the total population. The registration quality of total population enumeration is usually as- sessed in three dimensions： whether the registration belongs to surveyed population, whether it gains complete information, and whether its place is appropriate. The effect of the registration quality is measured by census errors in total and on average.
